The Brisbane Writer’s Festival is around September, but it’s not as good as the Byron Bay Writer’s Festival, which is usually held at the start of August.
Anyway, it’s two and a half hours to the New Year here in Queensland and since we don’t have daylight saving time like Sydney does, Sydney will hit the New Year one hour before us Queenslanders do.
So I’m off the get the Champagne…oops, I mean sparkling wine ready to pop and my new 2018 calendars to hang on the wall.
