Dear Mr. Mueller,
I know you’re busy. I know you’re gathering evidence about whether trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 election and obstructed justice. I understand that you’re not a PR guy, don’t leak info, and are pursuing the legal avenues.
But in the meantime the trump admin is tearing kids away from their moms at the border and creating one more reality show drama after another to distract us from your investigation. Trump’s tweets calls your investigation a witch hunt, claims that the Department of Justice is a broken system, and always, always, their mistakes can be traced back to Obama and Hillary Clinton. More lies. The only thing this administration does well is lie, one piled on top of another, the labyrinth of lies repeated so often the for his supporters, those lies become the truth.
I know you’ve issued more than 20 indictments, that Paul Manafort’s bail was rescinded for attempting to tamper with witnesses, and that he’s now in jail until his trials. I know you‘re closing in on trump and his family. But in the end, what will come of this? Impeachment? Doubtful, not with a spineless republican congress. And if you do indict trump, then his lackey Giuliani will make the TV rounds, spouting more lies about how the prez is above the law.
So all of this happens on a daily basis, trump creating one reality show distraction after another so that we’ll forget about your investigations. Meanwhile, young immigrant children are being interred, just as the Japanese were during WWII, just as Jews were in Nazi Germany. We’re not just in the beginnings of Fascism, but are in the midst of it. If trump and his lackeys get really ticked off, maybe you and your team will be interred with journalists, business people, and other people who criticize him.
In the daily world, these events have a profound impact on ordinary people. I don’t sleep well at night. I think about moving to another country. I think about the world my daughter is inheriting. I argue with a neighbor who thinks trump is the best president ever, but can’t name a single thing he has done that benefits Americans. When I mentioned that Harley Davidson is moving some of its operations overseas because of trump’s tariff/trade war, she just shook her head. “No way they’d do that. They’re too American.”
Yes. And they don’t want to be taxed when they sell their products to Europe.
This same neighbor informs me that the words on the back of Melania’s jacket when she visited an internment camp were photoshopped. The words: I really don’t care, do u? I queried snopes.com about this. They says that the words on her jacket are real.
Yes, we may be placing too much pressure on you, Mr. Mueller, to save us from Fascism. Maybe it’s karma, payback for what we did to to people of color, Native Americans, the Japanese, the “other,” whoever they were at any given point in time. Maybe there’s no end to this nightmare because in 2020 trump wins and declares himself prez for life.
Will we, by then, be able to escape to another country?
Could you please speed things up, Mr. Mueller?

Perhaps as an “American Family”, we have gradually become complacent and more or less lazy in terms of paying attention to the rules of Law as set forth in the Constitution. This attitude has been increased with the warp-speed evolving of electronics in which our current daily lives are racing. If so, maybe the Trump fiasco has been created to bring us back to corporeal, tangible reality and take note of the circumstances that surround us, so that we can grab the reins and say NO. It will take time. But I think of 9-11-2001, and I remember how our entire country joined hearts and hands and minds and souls and managed to make it through that hell. But…we did it with Love. Trump has trumped (no pun intended) on our Love and our core values. However, he seems to “feed” on ugliness, on nastiness the likes of which we have never witnessed here. He thrives on it, and if we continue to toss that fodder onto his plate, his persona will grow, and grow, and grow. I know this makes me sound like a child, but because my vision is now approximately just 32% until surgery (I can use the computer by raising the font) I can’t SEE the TV. I LISTEN to it, and although my husband, an avid Trumpster, watches FOX like an addict and defends Trump, I come into my bedroom and with closed eyes, can LISTEN to uplifting albeit brainless shows on the Game network, National Geographic, and a few other channels that I can hear without needing my eyes. I remove myself from husband’s energy regarding his hero DJT and put my mind in light spaces. Otherwise,I would go crazier than I already am!
I am deeply, deeply disturbed, distressed, and appalled by the gigantic web of toxic venom that has woven its ugly tapestry around and through our United States of America. The weavers of this web exist on ALL sides: for Trump, against Trump, in virtually every nook and cranny of this once-wonderful country. There seems to be no vaccine available for this deadly virus as it gains momentum, gains strength and energy, and grows and consumes more and more lives because it is continuously fed. I compare it to an incurable malignant cancer that refuses to be healed and instead increases and devours everything and everyone. No one remains unaffected by it.
As spiritual Beings, we have been taught that we are endowed with free will and that we create our situations. For example, if this is an essential Truth, then for some unrecognized reason I have created Parkinson’s Disease that is robbing me of my life as I have always known it to be. So, if we indeed subconsciously or super consciously created this tangled, strangling political web in which we are trapped, with entities at its center who are eating us up as spiders eat flies, destroying our country, does it not stand to reason that, as spiritual Beings, we should cease spinning this web of our own creation and instead use the Higher Power of Spiritual Light (we each have access to it) and send it out from every atom and molecule of our Beingness, to overcome the darkness? I am not intending to preach. I just have an intense awareness that when we, as individuals, allow ourselves to exist in the black negativity and go to war against it with words and deeds, we contribute to its energy and it expands because we lose sight of our visions of the Light. I will end this by quoting the words of a famous musician, “LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH, AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME”.
One final, extremely positive comment: The young folks who were trapped in the cave in Thailand have been rescued and all seem to have survived without permanent damage. One rescuer lost his life….the young man who was swimming under the murky water placing canisters of oxygen along the narrow tunnel through which escape was made possible. I have no doubt that young fellow has a special place
in whatever dimension he now resides. Don’t we know how incredibly relieved and HAPPY the parents of those boys are feeling with their loved ones back in their arms!

I agree with what you’re saying, CJ. I feel, though, that it’s important to speak out about the creeping Fascism that is overtaking us. Trump was a collective choice on some human level, for whatever reason, perhaps to encourage people to sit up and pay attention to how quickly the freedoms we take for granted can be eroded.
And the rescue of the kids in Thailand is wonderful!
Thank you as always for speaking eloquently and honestly. I feel the same, and truly, it is hard to carry on my life these days, hard to have hope, and hope is something so necessary to creativity, nurturance, love. I suppose intelligent Germans must have felt much the same way, watching fascism evolve, watching the propaganda machine produce a mindless population of followers, like your neighbor, cheering on Hitler. Or Mussolini. Or Pol Pot. or……..Trump. I don’t laugh any more when I hear Trump or his minions denounce the press, call all journalism “fake news” ……… that is the propaganda machine at work, and it is working. I guess I overestimated by far “my fellow americans”. As I see trump and his regime, like a cancer, fill all the organs and nerve endings of government with his people………..I wonder, even if he was gone, how long, if ever, could these people and damage be extracated to return this country to some semblance of sanity?
And yet, my fellow americans are also people like you and I, people who, unlike our at least honest “first lady”, do actually care……..perhaps it is not too late for this country, perhaps in November we will see some hope.

The author Jonathan Chait points out that DT’s beliefs changed dramatically after his 1987 trip to Moscow. That’s when he became critical of Western allies and pro-Russia. And that’s when he entered politics. Chait proposes that he became a Russian intelligence asset that year. The Steele dossier points in that direction. Ex-CIA director John Brennan says Russia is holding something over DT’s head. The article has an amazing chart of the relationship connections between DT people and Putin people.
There are some interesting reminders — Chait reminds us of that Belarusian escort Anastasia Vashukevich, who got thrown in a Thai jail and tried to barter incriminating video of Deripaska if the Americans would rescue her. Well, she’s disappeared. And remember Repub operative Peter Smith who died in a suspicious “suicide.” And all the Russians who died suspiciously after the Steele dossier leaked. And remember several foreign intelligence services have informed US intelligence that Putin is holding something over DT.
So frustrating! Let’s go, Mueller!
Haven’t seen that article but will certainly take a look! Interesting about his 1987 trip to Russia. I don’t doubt that the Steel dossier is true. The bigger question, though, is will anything happen to trump given his supreme pick?
