When you’re in a synchronicity dry spell, its like being in the middle of a desert without a drop of water. You turn slowly in circles, wondering which way the nearest outpost of civilization lies. You scan the sky, the horizon, trying to get a fix on true north. Or you may do what the guy in the above photo is doing, sit down and stretch out and hope a synchro whispers in your ear.
So how do you get back into that flow where synchronicity is your nearly constant companion?
There are different techniques. Some will work for you, some won’t. You have to experiment. The first thing I do take a look at the current transits for the day. Even if you don’t have an astrology program, you can go to Cafe Astrology and read about what’s the astrological energy for the day. Is it conducive to synchronicity?
In this chart, notice the 2 planets in the 9th house- Venus and Jupiter at 16 degrees Sagittarius. The two most benefic planets are exactly conjunct in the fire sign that symbolizes the larger picture, foreign travel and people, your worldview, spiritual beliefs, and expansion. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so it works particularly well in that sign. This conjunction suggests an exciting energy of cooperation, intellectual and instinctive awareness of how things fit together. It’s perfect for synchronicity. The moon in the 5th house is at 22 degrees of Leo, so it forms a wide and beneficial angle to both Venus and Jupiter that facilitates heightened intuition.
So now that you know the foundation for synchronicity is solid and powerful, what’s the next step? How do you get out of the desert?
Here’s a technique that works for me. Start simple. What’re you looking for? Confirmation about a particular choice or direction? Guidance? Insight? More income? A satisfying job? True love? If you should move and where? Better health? Expansion in a particular area of your life? Whatever it is, hold that desire firmly in your mind. Give yourself the suggestion that as soon as you walk out of your house (or if you’re the guy sprawled on that dune, as soon as you stand), the first thing you hear or see will address that desire.
For the guy on the dune, it might be the repeated call of a circling bird that seizes his attention. When it flies off in a particularly direction, he decides to follow it. For you, it may be a song on the radio that’s playing as soon as you turn on your car. Or it may be something your neighbor says to you. Or perhaps a dog comes tearing through your yard and covers you with sloppy kisses.
Be alert for clusters – of numbers, objects, sounds, songs, books, words. Some people are particularly adept at noticing number clusters that hold a special significance – 111, 33, 444, 77. However the sign manifests itself, ask for another sign. And another. Be persistent. Remain open and receptive. At some point, you – like the guy in the photo – will realize you’re out of the desert, back in the flow. Even your nightly dreams will cooperate.
It’s way too easy for us to just sit back and throw out our arms and shout, “Hey, universe, c’mon now. Give me a sign.” And nothing happens. But when we’re proactive, when we’re involved, deeply motivated, open and receptive, synchronicity comes roaring out of hiding.
I have sent out (last week) an intention for there to be a post about shoes on your blog so I can tell you an interesting story involving shoes that happened at my job.
No shoes, but tell us anyway!
I worked at the same company for 33 years. During that time I was moved into several different office locations within the same building. My department consisted of three offices – Mine, another coworkers and a large foyer that was used for storage. One of the things that were stored in that room were these special safety shoes. They were made of rubber and were kind of like galoshes with steel toes that you could put over your regular shoes to enter areas of our location that required additional safety. There was about 10 Pairs in various sizes and colours. We would laugh because they looked a bit like clown shoes. Anyway every morning when we came into work the shoes which had been stored on a two level shelf would be all over the floor. They stayed in place on the shelves all day but every morning they were off-the-shelf. One morning I was just arriving and had not had a chance to pick up the shoes yet when the payroll lady came in to talk to me. She asked what the shoes were doing all over the floor? I told her the story. She was of Asian descent and said that in their culture this would be the sign of a ghost and that shoes in the house are considered bad luck. The shoes continued to be jumping off onto the floor for the next few years until it was decided to do a rearrangement of that storage foyer. The shelf with the shoes was placed at the opposite end of the room and for some reason the shoes suddenly ceased their night time wandering. We had done quite a thorough investigation before to see what the cause for this movement might be (breezes or being moved by the night janitor but he did not come every night) We later learned that the ashes of a former employee had been stored in the shelves original spot. The urn had been brought to facilitate the scattering of the ashes at sea but had been forgotten there behind some boxes. It had been found and removed just before we and the shoes moved into those offices. The payroll lady and I concluded that the ghost of the person whose ashes had been there felt disrespected by us placing those stinky shoes in his area. The shoes have since been moved into a closet just outside these offices and are still behaving themselves. Just thought this was an interesting event and wanted to share.
Wow, Sharon. What an incredible story! I’ll do this as a separate post, if that’s okay with you. Thanks so much for sharing!!
That would be great! Thank you
Hey, Trish, what do you think it means that a meteor hit the moon during the eclipse??? I can’t find anything on that by Googling….
I have no idea. I saw a short piece on it from NASA, I think it was. I was wondering about that, too. The timing of it….hmmm….
Agree! When I was simply going on about my life from 2006-2012 life was full of pleasant surprises and opportunities. However nowadays I am clueless about what to do as I have so many things in mind like health, finance and location goals, I end up doing nothing right I guess. Because I see my life stuck and not moving forward.
Only thing that keeps me going is -Hope, my husband’s love & support and your guidance.
Don’t despair, Alisha!
