The Golden Scarab Synchro Contest

Trish and I were stopped at an intersection in the heat of the day, somewhere in the 90s, when she started fiddling with the air conditioning controls. “What’s wrong with the AC? It’s not working right,” she complained.

At that moment, I look out the window to the boulevard and noticed a hand-written sign about three feet away. It read: AC SERVICE – FREE TEST, followed by a telephone number. There really wasn’t anything wrong with our AC, but spotting the sign was still a meaningful coincidence.

That’s because we’d just been talking about synchronicity, actually about starting a contest offering several of our books in return for synchros. Earlier, three boxes of books had arrived at our door containing the new trade paperback version of The 7 Secrets of Synchronicity and also The Synchronicity Journal, a guide for recording your own synchros.

We will pick the best five synchro tales submitted and will give away five copies of the two books. So send us your story or stories through the comment section of this blog.

Entries for the contest will be accepted until  midnight Tuesday, July 19.

Update: We just learned that the journal, the trade paperback of 7 Secrets and Synchronicity and the Other Side are now all available from Amazon, in book form and for the kindle, and from Barnes and Noble.  Hmm. No one told us. We just happened to look and there they were. So our second synchro book, Synchronicity and the Other Side is out a month early!

Amazon: Synchronicity Journal, 7 Secrets, Synchronicity and the Other Side

Barnes and noble: Synchronicity Journal, 7 SecretsSynchronicity and the Other Side

Okay, I just had one this morning and wrote it up on the comments over here (same username). I think this is too late for a contest entry(?), but still a cool story:

I’ve just checked out the index of “Synchronicity and the Other Side” on Amazon and I have to say that I get chills down my spine just reading through it.I get the feeling that you guys may have hit a home run with this one.I think all the subjects mentioned there in the index add up to a very important book that will appeal to a lot of people. An intuitive little bird is peeping in my head and saying this book will be big.If the patches that I see in the index are woven together as skillfully in the book as I think they will be, then it will make one beautiful quilt that a great many people out there will find enormous comfort in.And I’m not saying that because a few experiences of mine may be in it.I think the universe has picked you guys to weave all the threads together so people out there can sleep a little better at night under these comforting patches you guys have pieced together.May you reap the benefits for your efforts.

    • R and T says:

Thanks, Darren!! Let’s hope that intuitive bird is right!

I have to say also, that it was funny seeing “Awakening Intuition (Schultz)” in the index,as I am currently reading
“The Intuitive Way” by Penney Peirce, and my real surname should be Schultz. It’s just that my Nana remarried and my father changed (or had it changed for him) to my current surname, which is of Irish origin. He grew up when the war was on and it was thought prudent that having a German sounding surname wouldn’t be such a good thing while going to high school in Australia, even though that is the Jewish version of the name.

Awakening intuition is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I need to get pierce’s book. Interesting about your surname, Daz!

So… whereabouts should synchro-submissions be sent?

  5. You have used a couple of my synchros on your blog, so I don’t know if the ones I plan to send you were mentioned. One deals with the first synchro that proved to me that we live in a spiritually-directed universe rather than a materialist /atheistic one. That synchro happened in Naples, Italy which I had written on my blog and was the one that captured your attention and how we eventually “met” online. The other synchro I plan to send to you is about what I said at my grandmother’s funeral and the validation I received in the week or two afterwards that let me know that my grandmother had heard me.

  6. Hmmm, I can’t even remember which of my tales have appeared here already – and would one that used to be here but was lost in the site move count? I guess I already have the book and my blog is my journal, so I don’t need to win – but would love to support your contest with an entry – how about this one from Seattle?

Awww man, all my good synchros are in my blog already. Btw, i wanted to tell you that on google+ i have a synchro ‘spark’ and your blog is comin up in the feed (in fact it was first!). I am excited because it will make it easier for me to find out what is new with you.

    • R and T says:

We now have two entries in the contest and a promise of two more entries. Keep them coming! NewSoul, you can use a published one from your blog, if you like, as long as it hasn’t appeared on this blog. Thanks for the tip on the synchro ‘spark.’

    • R and T says:

A spark? I haven’t heard of that and will have to check it out! You DO have some very cool synchros on your blog.

  8. Lauren Raine says:

Hey, congratulations! Tremendous work you’ve done, beautiful work – I’m wishing you the very best success, which is richly deserved. And enter me for the “Syncronicity Sweepstakes”!

Tomorrow I hit the skies for England, and may be out of touch for a while – but hopefully not. I so enjoy your blog and your community!

    • R and T says:

have a fantastic trip, Lauren and hop you can report form the road! May you have many travel synchros!

      • R and T says:

Okay, we’re calling our contest The Golden Scarab Synchro Awards. We’ve already gotten one entry and a good one from BC, and the promise of two more from Oregon. So send us your stories!

  9. gypsy says:

ok, now, ya’ll know you don’t have to tempt me with your books just to get my little synchros cause they’re yours regardless, like i’ve said before – but, how generous and thoughtful of you – absolutely so exciting to learn that the other side is now out! fantastic great news – and about the a/c – ours hasn’t been “working” all day here either – at least not enough to keep up with the heat outside – and summer’s just begun – ya’ll stay cool!
