Mercury Retrograde Snafus

Usually, I don’t ask people how their Mercury retrograde unfolded. But this one has been so weird, that I’m going to ask. Here’s why.

In the Pacific Northwest time zone, this retro start at 10:10 PM on September 26. Here in the East it started on September 27 at 1:10 AM. On that Sunday morning, a toilet in our house stopped filling with water, so it wouldn’t flush. For about a week before this, it had been happening off and on, so Rob bought a new hose to the outside water and for a while, the toilet behaved. But on that Sunday, the first day of the retro in the east, it became clear we needed a new toilet.

At some point that first week of the retro, Rob installed the new toilet. I looked at this and ask myself, Okay, what the hell did that mean? Does something need to be eliminated from my life?

During the second week of the retro, I ran into a major problem with the word press site I was building – namely, I don’t know squat about code. Should I go sign up for a class i this stuff?

It’s  not a good idea to plan a trip during a retro, but oh well, that’s what I did. Our car schedule is still in flux. Originally, the goal  was to see my sister and her family in Georgia, our writer friends Hilary and Jeff in North Carolina, then come home. But now we’ve got side trips to Asheville, Helen, and Charleston, South Carolina,  where our buddy Nancy Pickard lives. Merc retro often brings old friends back into our lives.

I started my astro forecast for November early this month. The written version was done by October 13, but the recorded version has run into one glitch after another. One day my cell’s recorder didn’t work right. Another day the dogs started barking or traffic outside was loud or the birds were singing too shrilly. Stuff like that.

Friends at the dog park have reported communication and travel snafus.

Mercury turns direct in Libra on October 18 at 11:17 a.m. Eastern and at 8:17 a.m. Pacific.

It can’t happen too soon for me.

  1. Everyone loves to have gamble video games from time to time. In early phase of game, you have no concept about choices and hands the other gamers are holding. On-line gambling is fairly new but an industry that grows fast.

I was invited to give a dhamma talk at a buddhist gathering in Seattle. I gave the talk for 25 min and then gave permission to the organizer Bhikkhu to post it on his youtube channel ( Clear Mountain MOnastery) in the meantime I travelled to Vancouver on 18th without any glitches. the next day I received a notificaiton that the vdo didn’t record further than 10 minutes and that he wouldn’t be able to upload it. I see this as a mercury glitch.

Mercury went retrograde at the 00 degree of Scorpio, which is fusion AND it’s your ascendant, which always feels personal. All of the eighth house is fusion, among other things I’d rather not go into here. As opposed to partnership coming together in the seventh, you know (close friends, open enemies). Your eighth house is Gemini – short trips, relatives, people in your community (which is also 3rd house, ruled by Mercury). I don’t know if Scorpio has anything to do with the elimination of waste but fusion for sure will get rid of anything or anyone that is not working in your life. Or refusing fusion, so to speak. Mercury will bring up not only the issue but the decision for you.
Mercury went retro and spent a day, if that, in Scorpio and went into the anaretic degree of Libra where one of its manifestations is too much of a good thing, hence the additional stops on your travel itinerary where I would guess these relationships had their own communication issues. If yours was anything like mine, things long hidden came to light and if you mailed anything it took its own time getting there. You planned a trip during this time. I’ve done it when the timing wasn’t up to me (that often happens during a Mercury retrograde) but never when it was my choice. Also, when in doubt about redoing something for the third or fourth time, be glad that it’s happening because it uses up energy in a trivial way that could block you in a more serious way. I’m telling you nothing you don’t already know, Trish.
I’m answering you on my mobile site where there is a fairly trivial but slightly weird formatting issue happening, though it may be my own site that had a truly excessive amount of extra space and some floating phrases before I could locate the comment section.
Mercury has spent most of its time in Libra, my own first house, your 12th. Not all of it has been bad but the one radiantly beautiful day I had, well, I’ve been making up for it ever since, had a really bad fall. Painful but not much injury that I know of. Had a nice coincidence cafè, a lovely time with Lauren. Missed you.

Last night, Megan got bitten by one of the dogs she watches. She ended up in ER. She had to return to ER this morning for an antibiotic infusion. I thought they might admit her and was trying to get my stuff together for most of the cafe time.

      How was it?
