A Cluster Synchronicity

Here’s a cluster synchronicity that happened today. I’m currently ghostwriting a novel that involves a woman whose memories of an abusive past life are bleeding through into her current life and causing her problems. She is Baker Acted at some point and treated for her trauma in a psychedelic treatment program.

Then today, I received my copy of The Mountain Astrologer, the June-September 2022 issue. It has an article called Psychedelic Astrology about the work of Stanislov Grof, the world’s foremost authority on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and Richard Tarnas, a professor of philosophy and psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and author of Cosmos and Psyche, one of the best books about transit astrology and synchronicity. Tarnas is also a member of Bernie Beitman’s Coincidence Project.

A few hours after I’d gotten my Mountain Astrologer, Rob and I were watching a new show on Netflix – Russian Doll. The protagonist smoked weed laced with ketamine on her birthday and died and kept coming back to the same night. At one point, the man who created the joint she smoked explains how psychedelics like ketamine are used in therapy with traumatized patients.

I have no idea what this cluster means, but it’s certainly a weird one.

  1. Hi Trish! For me any synchronicity that aligns with a project is a nod and a wink to me that I should keep doing what I’m doing. I have a friend in NYC who was telling me about an experimental psychedelic treatment program at NYU that was happening BC, (before corona). Your adventure on this project sounds fascinating. Blessings to you in all ways.

Hola Adelina! So good to hear from you! Your insight makes perfect sense to me. Thank you. Hope all is well with you!

      • Trish and Rob says:

Adelita – sorry for the misspelling!

I actually had a friend in that program, if it’s the same one, they were actually being treated for opioid addiction and some other issues with psychedelics.

One of the most profound synchronicites happened to me while reading Grof’s book “When the Impossible Happens’.
I was reading about Joesph Campbell’s praying mantis sync that Grof writes about in the book, and I thought how I hadn’t seen a praying mantis for years.
I went to check my letterbox before going back into my house and pulled out a pile of junk mail when I felt something crawling up my arm from the mail … a baby praying mantis, which I wrote about here with the pictures of it, as it seemed to pose for my camera –

I also just cancelled my Netflix subscription which is due today, so I have a couple of hours to watch what I can before I don’t have access to it until I re-join again later in the year … maybe.

I remember reading that synchro, Daz. I loved that book of Grof’s. You would enjoy cosmos and psyche – the chapter on synchronicity.
