Just for Fun

 Matisse – Mimosa

Occasionally, I Google synchronicity just to see what links come up. When I did it recently, I was astonished at the variety of businesses and groups that have that name.

Some of them are related to spirituality, healthier living, the mind/body connection. But the majority have zero to do with synchronicity and a couple of them made me laugh out loud. The word “synchronicity’ seems to be a buzz word of some sort. Here’s a sampling. I’ve linked the ones that either have something to do with synchronicity or which seem to understand the concept.

– a boutique
-a theater group in Atlanta
-an art gallery in Michigan
-a Canadian Magazine
-an online magazine – synchronicity seems to be the main thing, there’s a good list of recommended books, but way too much advertising for tarot and psychic readings
 -bookstore in Atlanta
– singing quartet
– consulting firm
-2 marketing companies
– figure skating club in Denver!
-traditional Chinese medicine consultants
– fine arts gallery
– web design company
– ceramic art business

-global finance and philanthropic company – this one is curious. Based in Bermuda, it seems to be both an off-shore global finance company and a philanthropic foundation. The “synchronicity fund” mentioned here appears to manage the funds of hedge funds. Not sure how that’s connected to synchronicity, but the website is well done.

– spiritual talk radio show – synchronicity and related content

-Last, but not least: an album by The Police

The missing link
Synchronicity’

It seems that words become celebrities too….used to death and then retired! Good post!!

Thanks. Interesting article about Philomen, Jung's spirit guide.

I'm with Nancy; I sure hope it doesn't go the way of synergy or gestalt or panacea or zeitgeist! All have been so over-and-incorrectly-used that they're just dry husks of their original meanings. BTW, did you see this article on Jung and Crowley?

Well for the fun of it:
    Canadian
    online magazine: ZOO
    philanthropic company: BA foundation
    radio with his music
album of the police: Sting being a friend

Each link you made of synchronicity reminded me of Bryan Adams.

    Nice co-incidence!!!!

I hope it doesn't get overused, like synergy.

neat post – and interesting cause i've done the same thing – you're right, always fun seeing all the totally unrelated things that use the name – but one of my favorite related things is the police album –
