The question I ask daily is fairly simple on the surface. But I suspect the answer may be complex.
How is it that anyone who voted for trump still supports him? Are they completely deaf to the news online and off? Do they applaud the cruelty and blatant inhumanity of this administration? Cancel cancer research? Build more places like Alligator Alcatraz? Dismantle the Dept. of Education? Cancel funding for school lunches? Obliterate NOAH at the beginning of hurricane season? Send congress home early for their summer vacation so they don’t have to vote on releasing the Epstein files?
I think it’s telling that Kristi Noem usually wears a prominent necklace with a cross hanging from it. Or that Tulsi Gabbard wears crucifix earrings. Is this to assure the public that they are honest women working for a god? Is that god’s name trump?
Why do any of you still support trump? And if you’re part of his diehard MAGA base, why the obsession with the epstein files? Is it because you want to know what kinky and perverted democrats are in it? Like, you know, Hillary Clinton & her alleged pizza parlor? Or hey, maybe O’Bama?
Well, how about if your god trump is in the file as a playmate of pedophile epstein? What then? In addition to the cruelty and inhumanity to this administration, are you going to give your okay and continue to support him anyway?
I wish his diehard supporters could answer this. Or, at the very least, recognize that their souls are broken,
The followers of Trump are in cult. That’s the mentality…..he’s some kind of messiah to them, and they are wholly invested in believing in him, in much the same way that even after WWII, many Germans still maintained that “the Father” Hitler would return. There is no other way to explain it I’m certain. And they are also conditioned to believe that all news that isn’t from Fox is “fake news”. Recently I met a good hearted, fairly well educated Republican who calmly explained to me that the Insurrection on January 6, and the people who died, was “fake news”, and Trump really did win that election. I don’t think there is much hope they will change their opinion because, like Hitler’s followers, their “faith” in him is based on emotion, and religious programming, not reason.
