Glowing abstract shapes explode in futuristic celebration generated by artificial intelligence
“Complete disorder and confusion,” is the dictionary’s definition of chaos. Used to be when we heard that word on the news, it was connected to weather events. The snowfall was so heavy it created chaos on the roads. Or, more common for Florida: The hurricane brought total chaos.
But these days, you hear the word chaos frequently in the news and it’s usually connected to trump and his administration. It might be a new tariff trump has imposed. Or a post on misnomer of a site that attacks or belittles someone or something he takes exception to. The guy thrives in this swirling chaos. He loves it. He thinks he’s king, after all, and he just has to wave his hand or his pen or open his mouth for chaos to ensue.
The goal of the chaos is to keep everyone in politics & in the country off balance, to make people afraid to speak out, to protest,to object in any way, shape or form, since that’s how authoritarians seize control.
This evening, I asked an AI – Claude – for the similarities between trump’s present administration and that of Hitler. But apparently Claude’s coding is only up to speed on the first administration. But the similarites are obvious daily – ICE is like Hitler’s SS, the denigration of anyone who isn’t a white male is like Hitler’s denigration of the Jews. Alligator Alcatraz is essentially an echo of the Dachau concentration camp but without a gas chamber. Then again, it’s subject to the intense Florida heat – it was 97 here today- and mosquitos the size of VW Bugs, and of course, gators.
All that is just for starters in trump’s chaos department. Then there’s the whole Epstein thing, the epitome of uncontained chaos And in between…well, that’s where the rest of us fall. Impacted by gov’t cuts to essential health care and social programs, weather personnel and essential satellites, cuts to FEMA…. well, you know the rest.
Trump is the bully on the basketball court who never grew up and now is determined to get even with his enemies, his critics, the people who stole the last election from him and blah, blah, blah.
I don’t recognize this country anymore.
But I’m ready for the next peaceful protest.
