The dictionary definition of chaos is straightforward: “complete confusion, uproar, mayhem, or a jumble of things.”
Sure fits the first 14 months of the trump admin. From ICE raids and murders in Minneapolis to the abduction of Venezuela’s dictator Maduro to the war in Iran and the firing of Kristi Noem, chaos is the name of trump’s game.
He’s an ideal antagonist for a novel, except…Well, the novelist has to show what goes on in this guy’s head. How does he think? Why does he think the way that he does? What happened to him as a kid that warped him? You go too deeply into that and may end up nearly as crazed as he is.
My questions about trump as a character, an antagonist, as a human being, are fairly simple: What do women see in this guy? What did his 3 wives see in him? All the adjectives that have been used to describe him seem grossly inadequate: narcissist, authoritarian, strength, bully…None of those words depict what I feel when I see that orange face, the bags under his eyes, or when I hear him speak. His face, his voice, his usually absurd words nauseate me.
The house has proposed an amendment to the constitution that would allow trump a 3rd term as prez. If that happens, if the repugs somehow survive the midterms, if this man serves a third term, then this country will be forever locked in the chaos that is trump’s middle name.
And I will need to move to another country.
