This retrograde, in Pisces, started on Feb 25 and finally ends on March 20. But frankly, even by then, it will have felt much longer. The dominant issue for me has been electronics – lost files, backups, confusion, that kind of thing – and sending and receiving $ through paypal.
The other issue was that most of the requests I received through Reedsy, where Rob and I ghostwrite, were okay, with even a couple of ideas I would have enjoyed. But when I put in an offer, the individuals said they couldn’t afford it. Yes, that happens, but during this retrograde, I realized most of these people don’t realize what kind of time and effort goes into writing a book, especially when it’s a ghostwritten book.
During this retro, I realized how influential Game of Thrones is. A lot of the ideas that come through Reedsy are for sprawling, world building universes that they already perceive as a series of seven or eight books. I usually advise to focus on first book. Sometimes they have notes or some chapters, but usually just the idea for an 80,000 word novel. & oh, their budget is $1500.
There have been some wonderful exceptions, but not during this retro.
I suspect part of it is that trump’s economy sucks. The cost of the war he started is now past $12 billion, oil has shot up, and so has everything else. The other day, I paid $3.79 a gallon for gas. At publix, I spent $209 and change for just ordinary food stuff. I could try other less expensive markets if I had the time but driving all over town uses that expensive gas and I probably would break even.
But I do enjoy seeing how this retro impacts trump, a Gemini ruled by the planet of communication. Few coherent sentences, an F in geography, history, economics,worldwide business, tariffs, music, art, & yes, a big fat F in real estate. The longer he’s around, the more pathetic he acts & looks & sounds.
