I suspect he did this to gain favor with orange man. When his term ends with this election, is he hoping to be appointed Attorney General when the acting AG, Tom Blanche, doesn’t get the position? Can he be even more subservient to trump than Blanche and the rest of trump’s sycophants? Yes, probably.
