We’re going to a huge rescue facility on Wed. the 12th to look for a new pooch. No dog can replace Nigel.But I miss that canine energy, that eagerness for play, adventure, the dog park, or just that quiet conversation at night. I miss coming into the house and not being greeted by a pooch with a toy in his mouth, a tail whipping back and forth,. I miss…well, having and knowing and loving a dog.
I’m hoping Nigel and Nika, the dog we lost three years ago, guide us to the right pooch.

It was the same for us 2 years ago. Our search began in pursuit of a particular pooch, and then fate delivered Kiku into our lives. She wasn’t the pup we initially wanted, but she became the one we deserved. She’s perfectly imperfect, and we love her with all our hearts. Trust synchronicity; you will find the one you’re meant to have. 🙂

Congrats on the pupper! While new pets can never replace previously cherished ones, I’ve always believed that our departed canines have a hand (er, paw) in our choice of its successor. Before we got Kiku, Jennifer drew tarot cards and asked Minnie, her original poodle, if it was okay to get a new one. Jen said that Minnie consented her approval, and we proceeded in our dog quest. 🙂
