Fargo.
As in North Dakota. As in the movie by that name, a kind of dark movie, if I’m remembering correctly. Rob & I couldn’t get used to it and he didn’t seem to be answering to it.
One day Rob suggested calling him Buster.
Yuck. It reminded me of comic books from the 1960s.
“How about Nigel 2?” I suggested.
Not fair.
Sometimes, I though of him as “Chaucer.” Or “Kroger.” But then the other morning Rob suggested that we call him “Jupiter.”
Well, why not? The planet that governs expansion, publishing, luck, synchronicity. So now Fargo is Jupiter and he seems to respond to the name. It’s often shortened to “Jupe, c’mon, boy.” Or “Jupe, no, Binx doesn’t like that!”
So now I need to change the name on his microchip.
Jupiter is, of course, the largest planet in our solar system and I’m hoping size won’t correspond to him fully grown. But several people have speculated that he looks like he has some Grand Pyrenees in him.Yikes!
We did a DNA test on him and should know within a couple of weeks.
I had a feeling that Fargo was too uncomventional a name, though I do like Buster since I’m a fan of the silent movie daredevil Buster Keaton. But Jupiter is a really nice name, too! And since he’s your pupper, you have to make him your own!
& Jupiter governs synchronicity, luck, expansion in astrology!
So now he’s baby Jupe . So sweet. I can’t wait to find out what his DNA is.
Much easier to remember!
