That’s daughter Megan there to my left, and I think the photo is from our trip to Cuba in 2017, after Obama made it legal for Americans to travel there.
August 31, is her birthday. Her 37th.
I still remember the night she was born after 30 hours of labor. I glanced at the clock on the wall, saw the time, 8:10 PM, and was delighted I would now have a correct natal chart for her. Double Virgo – sun and moon, with Pisces rising. Sagittarius at the midheaven.
Two days after she was born, our friend and my astrology mentor, Renie Wiley, who had spelled Rob during my long labor, came by our place. She took a look at Megan’s chart. “Holy shit, Trish. This kid is gifted. Animals are going to play a huge part in her life. So is art. Veterinary school is a possibility. With three planets in Capricorn in her 10th house – profession and career – she’ll know how to set goals and achieve them.”
There was more, but those are the words I remember. All true. It wasn’t veterinary school but hands on stuff for her- working with dolphins her senior year, while at New College (before DeSantis turned it into a right-wing horror show years later!) & a major in art. For awhile, she was a dog walker. She writes, paints, and now she’s working as a naturalist on whale tours in the San Juan Islands in Washington state. Whales are her newest passion.
I remember when I was about 4 months pregnant, I asked for a dream that would tell me something about our past life connection. The dream was simple and direct: I was alone in a store when my water broke and she was born. In the dream, I picked her up and she said, “Iceland.”
It’s on my bucket list.
She’s a total joy and wonder to me. Love you, Megger, and thank you for choosing me as your mom and Rob as your dad. And for introducing us to all the wonders in your own life!
