Forrest V. Frankenstein
We just can’t help reporting on these crazy name synchros. We genuinely feel sorry for these people. After all, they’ve become caricatures of the characters for whom they were named.
We’ve had Johnny B. Goode, who wasn’t, Robin Hood, the thief, Jim Beam arrested for public intoxication, Donald Duck busted for repeatedly bumping his car into another one–\Quack, quack….and now we’ve got Forrest V. Frankenstein, who was threatening mayhem at a Toby Keith concert last Saturday and in a hospital after he intentionally banged his head over and over, and ended up with a bloody line across the top of his forehead that, we swear, looks like an incision from an operation.
Once again, thanks to Jim Banholzer for the heads up. Jim has a nose for name synchros.

Now here’s another name synchronicity of a different sort. During the 2008 presidential campaign, we suspect that Democratic candidate John Edwards was somewhat embarrassed by his namesake, John Edwards, the TV medium. When Edwards, the politician, was outed by National Enquirer for keeping a mistress on his staff as a videographer, his political career and personal life tanked. So by late 2009, Edwards, the medium, no doubt was embarrassed by his namesake. In essence, the suspected embarrassment had crossed over from one John Edwards to another.
And that fits well with the name of John Edwards’ television, Crossing Over. We wonder if both Edwards are now hearing voices.
So which one is the best looking John Edwards?
Hmm. That one didn't appear on gmail or on the blackberry. Mercury retro ate it.
It was actually lables. You know 'labels' and we were talking about names, which are our labels. 🙂
John Edward is highly thought of when he teaches at Lilydale, the "school for mediums" in western N.Y. He's gracious, humble, and kind……..I agree with one of the comments here, by the way, about Sylvia Browne. I especially wish this arrogant and not very intelligent woman would stop writing books about "the meaning of life and the afterlife".
I saw sylvia browne once on tv and wasn't impressed. I've never bought anything she has written. She just reminds me of an old fashioned psychic, the type with a chip on her shoulder.
tables!!? Funny one, Nat. and what an interesting maiden name!
Great discussion going on here.
I may have one…. my maiden name is Prior and my father's family are devout Catholics to the extreme.
Prior agreement to be religious and have a religious surname?
wv = lables teehee
oh, and I'll take the Medium anyday.
very neat post, you two! sorry i'm so out of the loop as to not be able to comment more comprehensively – however 🙂
in any event, about sylvia – i attended one of her large appearances in dc several years ago and i can tell you that however negative, condescending, etc, she may seem on camera is nothing compared to the reality of her negativity and condescension in living color – it was bad enough that my daughter and i wanted to leave the packed house notwithstanding the extraordinate amount of money we paid to "see" her dismissively perform – a huge disappointment as i had followed her career for many moons – but during that time i had also seen what i thought to be a downward spiraling of her "self" and her attitude and abilities – of john edward, i am surprised that he does not share a belief in reincarnation, given his own station in this life, but given his religious orientation, not surprised – an interesting mix, the two – his religion and his abilities –
OH! Clarifying, my comment was that I can't imagine BEING a medium and not accepting the concept of reincarnation! Seems the OtherWorldly contact Helpers would be pretty clear about that. Mine have certainly been, but I can only speak for my own experiences. cj
Hey Sansego. Where ya been? Re Sylvia Browne, As a born medium, I suppose I just find her attitude and delivery somewhat off-putting, and her responses to the audience members (on Montel) who ask her questions are so incredibly general and non-specific. I'm also off-put by her blase' condescention towards folks who asked questions that are truly important to them, and get answers from her that are not only general and applicable to anyone, but also are delivered with a kind of intimidating, you-should-know-this kind of response and a dismissive wave of her hand. I've noticed hurt looks in her audiences caused by her lack of civility, and also negative sjakes of their heads because she's so entirely off the mark and they haven't a clue what she's talking about but on camera, are agraid to say "no, you are not right" or "that makews no sense to me". Just my opinion. She isn't one of my favorite folks. I do like Dannion Brinkley very much, and sense his story is quite true. His predictions are pretty much on the money and his NDEs are phenomenal. cj
CJ: I love your above comments about "the shadow knows!" Funny stuff.
As for JE not believing in reincarnation or not saying so, I'm interested in why CJ said that she could not imagine any medium not believing in it. I believe reincarnation is the way our evolutionary system was set up, but I know many who believe in psychic mediums but not reincarnation. I suspect that they are too attached to their bodies and personalities to imagine being in a different body or even (heaven forbid!) another gender! However, for me, reincarnation explains homosexuality, bisexuality, transgender issues. Its not immoral, it truly is a spiritual preference.
Oh…the other thing that interested me, CJ, was your comment about Sylvia Browne. I never knew what to make of her. She says things rather bluntly and matter-of-factly, which I find interesting. I have some of her books and my favourite is the one where she talks about the various halls and temples in heaven and how we might be able to access them through meditation. Its inspiring to read. Don't know what to make of her belief in a "mother god" (Azna?). She was wrong about the 2000 election. She predicted that Bill Bradley would win the Democratic nomination and the presidency. I knew that he didn't have a chance against Gore.

Life is stranger than fiction.
Oh dear me! What a true synchronicity about the Fox sisters, considering that "table tipping" was common with them! Dontcha just love it??!! Maybe the spooks put that WV there to let you know they're paying attention! Wheeeeeee! Look at this WV: 'bries" Maybe breeze?
Which the spooks are good at creating? Or breeze as in hurricane? Hope it's the first! cj
About that WV, oddly enough I was writing at the time about the Fox sisters and their spirit contact.
There's a possibility he may believe in reincarnation. My cardiologist is a devout catholic, and he doesn't believe in Spirit Contact or, of course, reincarnation. So JE departs from the teachings of Catholicism by virtue of the very fact that he's a medium. Could be he may think if he brings reincarnation into the mix, it would be confusing to many of his audience, and that is true. I cannot imagine a genuine medium, with genuine abilities, not having the conviction of past lives. I suspect he might…..OH, love that WV of yours: 'table' Maybe "tipping table"? as in spirit presence?? 🙂 cj
Edward and his show look impressive and smoothly run, compared to James Van Praagh's rather clunky short-lived program. Of course, it helps that Edward has boyish good looks.
He's also Catholic and a non-believer in reincarnation, as I recall. You would think his spirit contacts would straighten him out. lol!

it actually spelled a word…
The young John Edward seems to have a wonderful and generous sense of humor. I have no doubt he would smile at being confused with the errant husband! He often speaks of his wife and child (now children??) during his appearances. He is such an open and unassuming fellow and seems to genuinely be thrilled himself whenever he makes a good hit, which is frequently. I personally believe he would function better one-on-one than as a group psychic, because when he's in the group setting, it becomes necessary for him to ask questions in order to find the person in the crowd to whom the messages are being addressed, and that makes the skeptics call him a fraud. In my humble opinion, he's very gifted. Unlike Sylvia Browne,
(again, in my humble opinion), who tends to be arrogant and condescending and is a "cold reader", ie, one whose messages would fit any one of a thousand people, whereas JE's messages seem to be directly aimed at a specific person. Anyhooooo….great post!

Oops..Edward…Edward-hiss.
Another Frankenstein – these sort of things make me smile. I've often seen names related to jobs – like Mr. Baker, the erm, baker and so on.
Want to add that we have an opthamologit here whose name is Dr. Winkler. And of course there is Dr. Forrest Bird who, among his many other accomplishments such as MD, PhD, astrophysicist, is the aeronautical engineer who invented the breathable flight suits for the NASA astronauts and who is a pilot himself, owning more than 25 aircraft of all types. Appropriately synchronistic birth name Bird. We have a general surgeon in town named Dr. Cutler.
It's never ceased to amaze me, during my medical career, to notice how many physicians have names that are synchronistic with their specific areas of expertise!
Just another clue that the Soul knows before birth what path it will be choosing…IMHO. cj
Actually, Guys, the psychic is John Edward, without an "s" on the end. I've watched him often and thought he was Edward, but after reading the blog post this morning checked to make sure. So thankfully, his name does not have the "s" on it, although I'm sure most folks assume it's Edwards because that's the norm for that last name. I'm also sure folks who didn't realize his last name is spelled differently from the cheating Edwards caused him some
stress! But of the two Johns, in my old book, I'll take John Edward the clairvoyant any day of the week! He's a young hottie; clean-cut; intense eyes; boy-next-store good looks, as well as having that sweet expression. Concerning the cheating spouse John Edwards, one never knows what goes on in the minds of folks. There used to be a program on the radio when I was growing up. It was called "THE SHADOW", and it came on at 4 on Sundays, with this deep scary voice drawling, "The Shadow knows….." Oh yes indeedy. The Shadow DOES know!! cj
