On the Rocky path

The day after returning from Toronto, a mini-cool spell followed us from the Northlands. So as the temps dipped toward the high 50s, we decided to build a fire in the firepit in our little courtyard. We were out of wood and Trish said she didn’t see any at the grocery store. So I called up Rocky’s Ace Hardware and was told they had half a pallet of bundled logs.

So off we headed to Rocky’s Ace Hardware. We reached the exit of our development when Trish picked up an e-mail from a friend of ours, also named Rocky. I had borrowed his heating pad months ago after I strained a muscle, and now he’d done the same and wanted it back.

Trish called and said we’d be home in about ten minutes and he could pick it up. We got our wood, and when we got back, it occurred to me that I should deliver Rocky the heating pad. After all, I was the one who borrowed it. So I looked up his number, called him. He answered, saying that he had just that moment pulled into our driveway.

A couple hours later, as we sat by the fire, soaking in the warmth, it occurred to me that we’d experienced a synchro and had nearly missed it. Not only did the two Rocky scenarios come together simultaneously, but each involved heat.

We consider that one an ordinary everyday type of synchro, but nonetheless interesting and another reminder for us that we’re on the path we’ve chosen – even if it’s a rocky one sometimes.

Oh…and right before I read this post, I read a comment on a friend’s Facebook page that was very similar to the song/line in “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

On FB it was “Don’t talk about it, be about it.” It made me think of “Don’t dream it, be it” from Rocky Horror. (One of my favorite films/shows.)

Synchro and I didn’t even realize it till I left my last comment!! 🙂

Hi! So I have been reading the books — taking me such a long time with everything else going on but…are you saying, and I think that’s sort of an underlying theme in the book, that the more synchros you experience, the more clear it becomes that you’re on the right path? I’ve got some more, will email you! XO

I just still get the biggest kick out of synchros. Loving the fire pit too. 🙂

Let’s hope that it is more of a case of
    “The Rocky Steps”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky#Rocky_Steps
,than a Rocky path for you guys.
Maybe your big triumph in life is just up ahead.
Now, if you run into a woman named Adrian,or someone going by the name of
Apollo Creed, then I think your “Gonna Fly Now” (Theme from Rocky).

Adrian and Apollo Creed: got it!

Actually, come to think of it,what was Rocky Balboa’s brother-in-laws’ name?
Paulie…Paulie Pennino, Adrian’s brother; a meat-packing plant worker by trade, Paulie permits Rocky to train in the freezer to go the distance in the ring.
And who was it that got you on “Weird or What?” ?
        Wolfgang Pauli.
Take a look at their photos and there is a slight resemblance don’t you think?

        and

Maybe the Pauli/Rocky sync means that Toronto was just a chance to train in the freezer and the rewards of that training will pay off further down the line?
Especially since you guys are writers on Synchronicity and
Paulie Pennino has the word “pen” in it,while Wolfgang Pauli has the word “wolf” in it,and wolf spelled backwards is “flow”.-)

  5. I think it’s great when these sort of synchros show themselves. Hope the path won’t be too rocky.

I always enjoy your synchros, big and small. Although I don’t always comment, please know I like to hear all about your life together. Sometimes I sit and stare at the computer screen hoping a reasonable comment will surface, but mostly I just enjoy.
