Metaphors as Synchronicities

The reflecting pool. Like so many of trump’s vanity projects, this one has become the perfect metaphor for his presidency.

He boasts about how beautiful it will be – the water a flag blue, so clear and stunning that it will surpass anything people have ever seen. Uh-huh. The cost has now risen to more than 16 million, the pool is  filled with algae that has turned it deeply green, and the blue paint is peeling off the bottom.

Remember how long the Iran war was supposed to last – what? A week or two? Remember why he said the east wing was torn down?  Remember how trump gloated about having his name on the Kennedy  Center? & when a judge ordered it to be taken down, he ordered a tarp to be draped over – apparently to spare himself the humiliation of seeing his named removed.

But the synchronicity of the reflecting pool pretty much says it all. The guy whose MAGA motto promised the best economy, the best country ever in the history of the world, is exposed, daily, for the sludge he has created, for his inhumanity and cruelty. He has weaponized the justice department and surrounded himself with sycophants as morally corrupt as he is.

Well, welcome to trump’s, america. It’s a humiliating embarrassment. And synchronicity embraces that reflecting pool as the metaphor for it all.

DISCLOSURE DAY

Meg took this photo at the Roswell Museum several years ago.

Spielberg: does anyone in the universe NOT know who this guy is?

I’ve loved most of his movies, from ET to Schlinder’s List and The Sugarland Express, Jurrasic Park to Indiana Jones & the Crystal Skull…and well,  you get the idea. I’ve been a fan for years and his movies have certainly increased my interest in this area. And have influenced what I write. Also, we’ve had  a number of alleged abductees and definite experts on all this on our podcast.

Rob & I went to see Disclosure Day this last night. The movie is long – 2 and a half hours. Emily Blunt is fantastic & so is Josh O’Connor.  The entire cast is good. But the story left me…wanting more of what wasn’t included. And the beginning left us confused. “Is this the movie?” Rob asked.

“Yeah, I think so.” But I wasn’t sure, either.

And that’s how it was for about the first hour. Okay, yes, I got hungry, and popcorn just wasn’t doing it and that was a distraction. But the movie started on a confusing note and despite outstanding performances from the actors, the confusion got twisted up with way too many car chases. Toward the end of the movie, things got clearer, particularly in a scene where we see Emily Blunt abducted as  a child and where she initially meets Josh O’Connor. It’s the scene where the movie should have started.

Instead, it started with a UFC championship. That was the point where Rob & I thought we’d walked into the wrong theater, the wrong movie.

But there are some scenes that are classical – the way Emily Blunt’s psychic ability  shows itself when she’s stopped by a cop and in moments, reads what’s going on in his life. The cop is so stunned she drives on.  The way she suddenly speaks Russian and Korean on the spur of the  moment, the way she begins to remember events from her childhood.

There’s a chaotic scene at a gas station where dozens of people are hurrying out with water and other supplies and for a few minutes,it reminded me of what happens here when a hurricane is headed our way. But it’s because WWIII has begun with Korea. But that fact wasn’t readily apparent.

I read that Spielberg wanted to show what happens to whistleblowers and he does that effectively. Here and there he includes scenes from what most of us know about the history of UFOs: a reference to Roswell and the aliens found there, Nixon’s meeting with Jacquie Gleason in 1973 when he  supposedly showed him corpses of the Roswell aliens kept at Homestead Air Force base.

When disclosure finally happens in the movie, there’s a powerful scene of people all over the world watching on their cell phones &  tablets & TVs, humanity collectively enthralled.

The movie is certainly worth seeing, but doesn’t reveal anything new. It also doesn’t capture who these aliens actually are, within themselves, as ET did.

Trump Name – GONE!

Early in trump’s return to the presidency, he added his own named to the Kennedy center in D.C. As a result, performers cancelled and trump – apparently embarrassed, humiliated or pissed off about it  – closed the center for several  years.  Today, June 12 2026, his name was removed. MSNow and other programs filmed it.  I watched some of it and laughed and cheered.

Now his name and stupid image should be removed from every other place where it has gone up –  the justice department, the $250 bill, and in July, the Palm Beach International Airport will bear his name. The more appropriate name would be the trump epstein airport. Governor desantis, a trump wanna be, approved it,  of course.

I won’t be flying into or out of the airport. Instead,  I’ll drive to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and use the airports there. Bad enough that we live it the same county as this demented monster.I don’t need to be reminded of it as I’m headed elsewhere.

Voters who still support this narcissistic convicted felon at this point should do themselves a favor and get psychiatric help.

Lies

I heard a stunning statistic this evening.

According to The Washington Post trump told more than 30,000 lies during his first four year as prez. The actual count was 30,573. Just Google it. A number of websites come up with the same figure.

Think about that for a few seconds. The Post said that’s 21 lies a day, but that during trump’s fourth year in office, that number rose to 39 a day.

I suspect everything the man utters  is a lie of some kind or another. The biggies are those that make headlines like “We aren’t at war!” Or the lies about when the Strait of Hermuz will be open. Or the lies about how prosperous the country has become since he stepped into the white house.  Then there are, I’m sure, the lies he tells his sycophants and the ones he tells his family that we don’t know about. No idea how many lies that would be a day.

Think about how much you speak during a day. Now imagine that everything you say is a lie. Maybe trump doesn’t know about Pinocchio. Of it he does, well, so what, he’s not a liar, his nose isn’t growing. In fact, he’s so handsome & virile women still fall all over him. GAG.

I don’t know how The Post counts these lies – AI?- or what difference an actual number makes to the people who voted for him or to those who still support him. But here’s a truth: the day this narcissistic criminal is gone – out of the white house, in prison, or has just passed on to whatever comes next – will be one of the happiest of my life.

But that may also be when the hardest work begins to undo all the damage orange man has done and bring back a democracy with new safeguards in place that prevent another wannabe dictator  from ever running for office.

The Spiritual Dog by JJ Flowers

I’ve met a number of psychics over the years. My first reading was as a freshman in college, with Rosa, who read  tea leaves at her home in Utica, New York. I remember being fascinated, intrigued, and blown away that the patterns the tea leaves made against the inside of the cup held meaning. My fascination has continued for decades.

The psychics with whom I’ve interacted over decades often have specialties. They read auras, objects, or are mediums who talk to the dead. They are healers, telepaths, remote viewers, channelers, animals whisperers.  JJ Flowers may be a combination of these.

Her book, The Spiritual Dog, certainly will appeal to dog lovers, but also will appeal to people who love all animals. Dogs she says, are here to show or teach humans what unconditional love is.They reincarnate frequently, end up with the humans they’re supposed to be with, and often take on the ailments of their humans. Generally, she says, when they reincarnate they don’t return as wild animals or as people.

People like JJ really are different than the rest of us. They’re able to tap into a universal pool of esoteric knowledge. Maybe we all have the ability to do this, but we don’t develop it consciously. Her book has plenty of stories that make the material come alive in ways any of us can relate to.

Several years back, my left ankle became arthritic. Recently, our Golden, Nigel, has developed arthritis in his right front leg. So I asked her if his ailment mirrored mine.

“This is stuck energy,” she wrote. “But there is humor here. It manifested from a fear you have of aging. Yes Nigel is mirroring.” My fear isn’t of aging, but of slowing down. An arthritic ankle certainly slows down movement.

Then she recommended a certain exercise for my ankle that will help. She addressed me once as Ruth – then later asked if I recalled a past life as a woman with that name. Nope, no recollection of being a Ruth. But it sounds like a name from a life that probably wasn’t memorable.

I’d told her I’d like to get a reading. Her response: “First my readings are a little bit different. I am not an evidentiary reader, though, sure, sometimes I will see your puppy’s red ball. I mostly get soul information. I need a picture of the animal, their age, and whatever you think I should know, especially any questions. I do it over email. Anytime.  I will try to get to it inside of a week.”

She explained this: “It is funny about the animal readings. My whole life my kids would ask me, Mom, what’s the dog thinking?’ Or the cat. I’d look over and I would know what they were thinking and it was rarely what one would think they were thinking. Then, when I was writing this book I began to go to AC places on social media where people posted pictures of their buddies and asked for readings. That’s when, omg, I discovered the animal would show up and tell me things, often important things.”

She talked about a place called Gamalghoom, where  she travels  periodically & her guides  “teach her stuff.”

So whether you’re a dog lover, cat lover, or just an animal lover, her book will speak to you.

2 things

A friend sent me this photo on May 31, the night of a full moon in Sadge. She said it was sent from a  friend in Sardinia. Don;’t know anything about who took it or exactly where this whale is,but I think it aptly demonstrates the power and force of the natural world. You know, that world that doesn’t include trump and his sycophants. That’ s the first of 2 things.

The 2nd thing is this: Daily – often hourly – trump looks like a buffoon. Yes, he’s a dangerous buffoon. But  when I see a photo like this I’m comforted by the fact that he’s nearly 80,  grossly overweight, and not too bright. & even though the maga movement may survive in some way when he’s gone, it will fade like the tea party and other groups who hate democracy.

Democracy will survive because we the people are its voice. And hey, maybe that whale represents that voice!

Daily…Corruption

Every day, there are reports about trump’s corruptions. & those of  his administration. Google list of trump’s crimes and corruption. AI will deliver a list. Many are unique to trump’s presidency because he doesn’t seem to know or give a shit about laws. Protocol. Decency. It’s as if he’s stil that fat little kid  the photo, whining because someone didn’t give. him what he wants.

He wants his name and face on everything. Our airport – Palm Beach International Airport will now be named after trump starting sometime in July. I sure won’t be flying into or out of it. I’ll leave from Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

Trump’s face on a $250 bill? Only the faces of dead people are permitted on bills. But even if trump were dead, I wouldn’t touch any bill that bore his gross and disgusting face. Good thing he doesn’t want it on the $1 bill. Or the $5. That 250, of course, is due to the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Once this orange monster is gone, I will delight in not seeing his face or hearing his voice or seeing his name anywhere.

PBS has an excellent article about  his stock trades since taking office. He’s interested in one thing: enriching himself and his family and sycophantic supporters  through his presidency. Soaring gas prices, the  price of groceries,  price of living? Oops, too bad, folks.

I’m eager for this nightmare to end. A part of me hopes that some alien race will snatch him up  some night and whisk him away to a spot beyond Pluto. But then, again, the aliens probably don’t want him either.
