Cultural Creatives, the Movie

Thanks to Lauren at Threads of the Spiderwoman, for this. She posted it on her blog.  I was delighted!

Some years ago, I ran across a book called The Cultural Creatives, about the 50 million people in the world who are doing things differently. This movie is about that phenomenon and the 50 million has swelled to 250 million. So if you ever feel alone in your beliefs, don’t!

  1. My previous comment has been either deleted or disappeared. Whatever the case, I was talking about this: https://easterneuropewatch.blogspot.com/2010/12/discrediting-of-kla-state-and-kosovo.html. This is the world in which “cultural creatives” are supposed to make a difference. I’m sorry, but I’m very skeptical about that.

Wonderful video! I love it. 🙂

So how can each of US make a difference?

      • I am very pessimistic about the idea. Living in Serbia saturated with all kinds of historical events and changes that go nowhere and being a witness of all kinds of foreign and domestic stupidity (ethnic cleansing and killing Serbs from Kosovo and selling their organs is considered as political reality by foreign “peacemakers” – all that discussion about Kosovo and its independence is are Serbs humans or not) may be a reason for my disbelief. Also, I have some bad habits (egg. consumerism and a lack of quality interactions with other people). We are an animal species just like any other and calling myself a cultural creative without actually doing something about population, water, food, peak oil, community and so on won’t make much difference. What if it had been too late long time ago?

Off subject, I saw I think it was Volcanoes erupting and lots of water.
I saw this in a meditation, anyone else have anything similar?

I’ve had symptoms and grief and left ear ringing since yesterday. Japan has had 3 deadly aftershocks & they’ve raised the nuclear threat level to the highest world level, in the past 24 hours.
Also the Philippines has a volcano threatening to blow.

hi, thank for posting this………..i found it so encouraging, in a time when we all need encouragement. I just used paypal to pay the 1 pound (about $1.65), and watched movie easily from their website. I think it’s so important, as you and others write about and remind us, to believe that there is a real paradigm shift in consciousness and culture going on…….it’s so easy to feel despairing, and this movie gave me a real lift.

I’m on the road these days, can’t check in often as I’d like……..but always love your blog!

  5. This is very encouraging….I went to their site and signed on to watch the movie later….not sure how to put the widget in. Would love to share this with as many people as possible….think it’s wonderful. They say to choose head or body for placement on website…not sure where it would pop up on my blog. Or do we just post the trailer on our blogs for ability to view the full movie…?
Once again…grateful for all the information presented here…you ARE the change you wish to see in the world…and I’m grateful to have found you. Also thanks to Spiderwoman…will be on my way there now.

I just copied the trailer from you tube and embedded it. Spiderwoman is the one who found it first, all the credit goes to her! The cultural creatives book is good, too.

Hmmm, my earlier comment disappeared. I hope you don’t mind if I post this video as well – it so uplifting! (Let me know if you do, and also if it is a problem to link to this site.)

    • R and T says:

I looked for your previous comment and didn’t see it. Wasn’t in spam, either. Weird. Go ahead and post it. I got it from threads of the spiderwoman, who had posted it on her blog. It should be posted far and wide!

  8. D Page says:

I loved the book and the ideas. I am glad it’s going to seed more minds via the movie.

  9. terripatrick says:

I like that there’s a name for this shift of consciousness and now a movie to help many more network and connect.

  10. Thanks – interesting – will have to watch the full movie.
