Largest Crop Circle

When this photo appeared in our Synchronicity Google search, my first thought was that it was a photo shop crop circle.

Then we saw the video:

It’s not. Whether it’s man-made or not is another question. But it’s huge. It’s been referred to as the Human Butterfly Crop Circle and as the DaVinci Crop Circle.

It comes from the Netherlands. Here are the original comments that were posted with the video and photo.

A Gigantic Butterfly Crop Circle formation (530 Meters x 450 Meters), the Biggest Crop Circle Ever … appeared in Netherlands near a town in southern Holland called Goes, on the 8th of August 2009. It is an incredibly large butterfly with Da Vinci’s ‘Vitruvian Man’ in the center, depicting the metamorphosis of the Caterpillar into a Butterfly. I stumbled upon this brilliant crop circle today while randomly checking one of my friends’ profile on facebook … my first reaction was that of sheer amazement and the feeling of a rising wave of excitement within realizing the magical synchronicity communicating with all tuned in …

Any ideas on the origin of crop circles? Are they made by artists who work in the dark and make these sensational images, by some sort of cosmic intellect energy force…or what?

A lot of people thought the world was ending because of Y2K. It didn't. The paradigm is shifting, Ian. That doesn't happen without pain and uncertainty.

  2. Ian says:

I am getting worried latly, lots of things coming true. What else could it mean.??? DNA banks,Seed vaults, crazy weather. Noah anyone?

  3. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Hey Ian, lots of time there between comments! I've never thought 2012- the predictions made about it – looked fake. I just don't feel it's going to the end.

  4. Ian says:

    Trish,you dont need to understand

  5. Generic Viagra says:

well this is a scientist reason to explain this phenomena, however I don't believe in the perfect shape of certain circles can made by mere nature, is true that in nature the perfection is the specialty.
    Buy Viagra Viagra.

  6. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Not sure I understand your comment, Ian.

  7. Ian says:

2012 isnt looking so fake now is it?

  8. Von says:

'or what' at the moment and so good we don't now all the answers.

  9. GYPSYWOMAN says:

i was wondering the same thing as you, trish – about how that many people could be in a confined space and leave no sign [pun intended] of their presence – or was there? does anyone know? and someone filmed it? would have been nice to have the truth told up front along with the image [in the event it wasn't, which i don't know] – hope 2012 has the site info you asked about –

  10. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

I was wondering how 55 people could even finish this in a single night.

  11. Sansego says:

How could 55 people do such a thing in the middle of the night and not have some kind of imperfection involved? The idea of a Butterfly Vitruvian Man seems to indicate that humanity is on the verge of a major transformation.

  12. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

2012: Can you point us to a site that explains this? We looked, but couldn't seem to find anything.

  13. Is 2012 Real? says:

This particular pattern is man made and publicized as such within the circle research community. It took 6 months of planning and 60 people to create in one day.

It would be nice if people would cease trying to mimic the real circlemakers. They are only muddying the water and adding fuel to the debunking fire. Crop circle messages are important to humanity and will increase frantically as we approach 2012

  14. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Sure would like details on how they did it, esp. if in the dark. Fifty-five people. Hmm. Wouldn't they trample the field before they even started?
I remain somewhat skeptical, esp. with that many people supposedly involved.

  15. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Thank you, Marja. That might explain why most of the crop circle sites have not featured this one. Regardless, it is beautiful.

  16. Marja says:

What a coincedence. I just stumbled upon this and was amazed and wanted to find more about this. Accordenly I came on your Blog again.
The butterfly person was developed by a dutch designer who made it in one night with 55 people for a two hundred year anniversary event. It is an interesting symbol and people relate it to the evolving of human conciousness
Butterfly is a symbol of change and in greek means soul

Awesome Crop Circle. The how and why, I can leave for others to determine. A few years ago I debated joining one of the societies that have all the information about locations and dates, to plot the where and when, but decided that is their job, not mine.

This is such a beautiful image, the precision, the comparison to DaVinci… If only this was broadcast on the news, without fears and debates,… thank God for the internet. It's doing its job.

My personal theory on crop circles is: they are created by an energy that has a higher understanding of time, space, and magnetics.

Crop Circles are gifts and nudges for us humans, to consider not only different dimensions, but that these divine energies or beings are letting us know, we are of interest to them. The abyss between our consciousness and theirs is immense. But they are making the effort, by giving us these amazing 2-dimensional images, in our 3-D world. Maybe the first message is to get beyond the 4th dimension of time.

I like to consider the Crop Circle creators are connecting to us, because they are connected to us, and want to re-connect, with us humans. I think it's silly to be afraid of alien invasions from an intelligence and technology that creates art in our grass.

of course this is incredible as well as amazing and beautiful and so is your very interesting blog!! I look forward to reading all of your older posts and those to come.

  22. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Those pics are great, Gypsy. Thanks for the link!

  23. GYPSYWOMAN says:

yes, the dates and locations – and do the locations on the map equate to any kind of symbol or whatever?

and listen, i just found something "almost" as beautiful/magical – but definitely man-made/artist-made in this case – ELIZABETH AVEDON: JIM DENEVAN: Sand Man – check this out – hope i did the link thing correctly – but if not, then the avedon blog and the jim denevan sand man post – you'll love it –

  24. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

It would be interesting to research the dates of the 10 best circles to see if there are any astrological correspondences. Thanks for the idea, gypsy!

  25. GYPSYWOMAN says:

how absolutely totally incredible – this is one of my all time favorite circles – and whether man-made or cosmic intellect or from lost spirits, an incredible feat no matter – especially to not have had more proven as hoaxes if they are not – interesting name of the town "goes" – anything significant about the date? fantastic post!!!

  26. simon from caly says:

synchro guy says NOW there's one heck of a bunch of bleepin (whops) CROP CIRCLES. I've for a long time been thinking simple, magnetic fields, for the fields.

  27. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Good luck. Ask him if NASA is going to bomb the moon on Oct. 9 😉

  28. "C" says:

Never watched that movie myself, but the day this crop circle happened I was reading the Invisibles comic "in particular' the issue about a character named Lord Fanny (who's spirit guide is a butterfly). I had a caterpillar show up in my drive way and combined with my wife we saw about 10 butterfly's in a week (none this summer before so). I covered some of this on my private blog and also have been sharing (second versions) of some of my post on my regular blog. I am off in an hour or two to go see Buzz Aldrin talk about his new book here and town. I am hoping to get to meet him and get a picture, whish me luck! Peace TQO

  29. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Loved that movie. Butterflies – like frogs – are thought to symbolize transformation.
    – Trish

  30. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Now you should watch the movie, The Butterfly Effect.

  31. Aleksandar Malecic says:

Speaking of synchronicity and butterflies: These things are mentioned in the movie I Am Legend. I have had some abstract, weird, personal and hard to explain (to other persons) synchronicities related to butterflies (including a Facebook profile with a butterfly added to a person's name (a member of a huge group, so I can't find it at the moment)). I think that time is an illusion and if one sees time this way, some weird things will begin to happen.
