An excerpt of a 1981 thriller by bestselling suspense author Dean Koontz is getting a lot of attention on social media. In Eyes of Darkness, a Chinese military lab creates a virus as part of its biological weapons program. It’s called Wuhan-400 because it was created in Wuhan and, as the page above says, was the 400th viable strain of man-me microorganisms created at that research center.
It’s another case where a writer plugs into a future event. We’ve written here about many others. Apparently Dean Koontz was not the only writer to tune in to the virus.
Psychic Sylvia Browne predicted in her book “End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the End of the World”, that the world would be impacted by a respiratory disease in the year 2020.
“In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.” She goes on to write that it will vanish as quickly as it arrives.
Let’s hope that’s the case. At this writing, there have been 76,000 case and more than 2,000 deaths as the virus spreads around the world. (Thanks to Jane Clifford of Wales who turned us onto these predictive writings.)
More often than not, we live what we write. That’s synchronicity.
Wow. I have a bad feeling about this one.
Especially with pence in charge.
According to Wikipedia,
“This novel is claimed to have similarities with the 2019 Novel coronavirus outbreak.
It seems that in the 1981 original version the microorganism’s name was Gorki-400. Only later in 1989 the name was turned to Wuhan-400 As reported by the South China Morning Post in 1989.”
