Sassenach

Sassenach. Recognize the word? It’s Gaelic for stranger or outlander. So if you recognized it, you probably have watched the TV show Outlander, based on the book by Diane Gabaldone.

We’ve watched two seasons of it and area nearly done with the third. Today at the dog park, we were talking about it – remarking  that it was getting too outlandish. As we took turns explaining why, a beautiful black Golden Retriever trotted over to say hello and get some water. Rob said, “Take a look at the owner’s  sweatshirt.”

This is what it looked like:

It means, don’t worry, Sassenach, which Jamie Fraser says often to Claire, the time traveler and love of his life. So what are the odds? After this synchronicity, we decided to finish watching season 3. The dog’s owner did say that season 4 was one of the best.

I’ve never watched ‘Outlander’, nor intend to after watching the trailer for season 4, but I did have this Dragonfly synch after reading your post, which is having a ripple effect on some other synchs I have had since –

I do like that poster for ‘Outlander’ for 2022, which says ‘COME WHAT MAY’, since both of my grandmothers have a birthday in May, and my mother and father were married on May 30th, which her mother would pass away on years later bizarrely enough.
My other Nan (my father’s mother) died on my father’s birthday on April 8.
And of course Sir Dave’s birthday is on May 8, and he has a dragonfly named after him I only found out this week.

Season 4 is the best so far. And hey, given all these synchros, Daz, maybe you should watch it. Seems you always have clusters of synchs!

I only have Amazon Prime on at the moment and it’s not on Amazon Prime, and I’m certainly not getting Netflix put on just to watch that boring looking show.
The poster with ‘COME WHAT MAY’ is probably all I needed to see for the path I’m walking along in life.
And speaking of MAY I just saw this news story with Queen guitarist Brian MAY who just got over Covid after having 3 Pfizer shots –
        https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-12-19/queen-guitarist-brian-may-reveals-he-is-recovering-from-covid-19/100712800
I’m due for my third shot this week oddly enough.
It’s actually been 5 months from today that I had my 2nd shot and in Australia we have to wait 5 months before we can have a 3rd shot.
So there is another synch in the MAY syncs for me, I guess 😉

        • Trish and Rob says:

Interesting synch with the MAY. The show isn’t boring, but yeah, I wouldn’t subscribe to a channel just to see it. Why 5 months in between shots? At least australia handled the pandemic correctly. This country didn’t.

          • Darren B says:

It was six months between shots until this month when the Omicron got loose, and now they have made it 5 months because it seems that after 6 months Pfizer starts to wane in its protection, and Astra Zenica is near useless when it comes to fighting this variant … which was what they were giving everyone over 50 … then 60 in Australia a while back.
So Australia is in some deep s#it right now with the Omicron spreading through the country day by day.

            • Trish and Rob says:

I didn’t realize omicron was spreading through Australia. I read tonight that Florida’s covid cases are doubling by the thousands every 36 hours.

              • Darren B says:

It’s mainly the states of NSW and Victoria where it’s going through the roof (2,500 + cases a day in NSW now, 1,400+ in Vic) , but we have just opened our border in Queensland, so it won’t take too long for it to take off here, if it hasn’t already.
