Global synchronicities happen frequently in politics and they tend to be mind-blowers. Not surprisingly, during the chaotic years of the Trump administration and during the campaigning leading up to the 2016 election, there were a number of them.
In August 2015, Time Magazine did a photo-shoot with Trump the Republican nominee at his tower. The shoot was for Time’s person of the year award, which went to Angela Merkel. The award-winning photographer, Martin Schoeller, brought an eagle with him to pose with Trump.
The 27-year-old eagle, Uncle Sam, is the first part of this synchronicity.
The actual photo they used on the cover of Time was that of Trump with majestic Uncle Sam on his arm. Behind the scenes, though, it was a different story.
Uncle Sam attacked Trump when he reached for something on his desk. The symbol of America apparently didn’t like Trump and read him better than any of the humans who voted him into office in 2016. Perhaps the bird saw what would happen in 2020, when Trump lost the election and sought to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power on January 6, 2021.
This synchronicity marked the beginning of Trump’s tumultuous four years. What’s it going to be this time? A war with Denmark over Greenland? A war with Panama over the Panama Canal? A war about renaming the Gulf of Mexico?
