Senators, Hello?

I rarely write to Florida reps in congress. They’re republicans, so what’s the point? But today I received a newsletter from Senator Rick Scott, basically touting ALL the work he has done for Floridians. I figured I ended up on his email list from a previous email.

It sickened me, so I unsubscribed and then emailed him about why I had unsubscribed. Basically, he has done ZERO for Floridians.  He supported trump’s big ugly bill that will leave thousands or millions of Flordians with no health care, funds ICE to the tune of zillions, & some of the people they sweep off the streets will end up at Alligator Alcatraz. Scott apparently thinks the place, an echo of Dachua without the gas chambers, is just fine. He has never spoken out about it. I noted that it’s one of the cruelest and more inhumane moves made so far. I suspect DeSantis approved it to try to get into trump’s orbit again.

I also mentioned that republicans are spinless cowards for never speaking out against anything trump does while democracy is crumbling into a dictatorship.

Then I also wrote to our other senator – Ashley Moody, formerly a Fl attorney general. I told both of them I would never vote for a Republican (and never have). I’m sure emails like this are immediately  deleted so the senators never see them. But it felt good to get it out. However, I’d prefer a protest with signs.
