A Trucker’s Tale – Redux

Some of you might recall a post from last July called,  A Trucker’s Tale,  in which Jim Banholzer  told a puzzling story about how his truck has broken down at the exact same rural location three times over a 15-year period. Guess what? Jim is back with a sequel. If you click the link and go to the latest comment, you’ll find that Jim has again broken down at that same spot.

A very strange synchronicity. It sounds like the Bermuda Triangle of truck stops. Only it’s not really a truck stop. Then there’s also a reference to the nature of the sky above this spot when these things happen. A good story, but you wouldn’t want it to happen to you.

Maybe it has something to do with your ID pic. That's a weird sky!

  2. JBanholzer says:

Okay, I just talked with my friend who asked, "What colors do you see in the sky, when you break down?" -and she said that she has some more insights on this. However, her computer is on the fritz, and she won’t be near another computer until tomorrow evening.

Hopefully, then, she will be able to satisfy our curiosities a bit, with her interpretations and insights on this great sky mystery.

    More research needs done!

  4. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Fantastic, Jim. Thanks! What about the color of the sky?

  5. JBanholzer says:

The breakdown point is usually around 43.5794 N by 114.33764 W.

The safe pullover just north of there at 43.5824 N by 114.3388 W.

It's near a large hole in the earth called Mizer Ditch and also by the turnoff for what was long the county dump and now is the transfer and recycling station.

After experiencing so many breakdowns there, I've started to wonder, if years ago, Blaine County's forefathers purposely chose a low energy point that nobody would much care about for dumping everybody's rubbish.

    What a wild story.

Do you know what the colors of sky reference could mean?

  7. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

We'll ask Jim to get out there with a GPS or something. It would be interesting to know the coordinates!

  8. GYPSYWOMAN says:

well, rob and trish, don't decide to take a little flight down that way any time soon 🙂

i was thinking it might be neat to know the coordinates of the spot where jb has this encounter of a mechanical kind –

wv=honexawl=hone awl – interesting in light of this post

Some comments seem to be disappearing from the blog – and we aren't deleting them! I saw Natalie's comment on my Blackberry, but when I came here, it was gone!

    She said, "Freaky!

Earlier today, the same thing apparently happened to a comment Aleksander had left under Aurora Borealis, a post from Jan 12, 2010.

    Trickster? Hello?
