A number of years ago, I was browsing in Barnes and Noble and came across DMT: The Spirit Molecule, by medical doctor Rick Strassman. If you haven’t read the book, it’s a keeper. DMT is a molecule found in plants, animals, and the human brain. Strassman’s research into this mysterious molecule convinced him that it’s a portal to another dimension. Back in the day, I was experimenting with altered states of consciousness. Just me, my open-mindedness and half-asleep transition periods. The only weird experience that didn't look like a vision/hallucination/dream was a few seconds of "alien abduction" in the middle of night. For some reason it looked real and it was violent, unpleasant and very non-symbolic. I even know from which corner of the room "they came to me".

strange, I had just checked Strassman's website a few minutes ago to see what's new over there! And I was talking about DMT last night at dinner with my one cousin, and other psychotropic drugs.
