Synchronicities involving clusters of names, numbers, songs – virtually anything can be a cluster – are among the most intriguing. This one, brought to our attention by Nicholas (Sansego) centers on President Obama.

This past weekend, I learned that David Maraniss has a new biography out on President Obama. I thought this was interesting because I hadjust completed reading the most comprehensive biography on Obama, The Bridge, by David Remnick. Before that, the previous biography that one needed to read to understand Obama was Obama: From Promise to Powerby David Mendell.
That’s when I said, “Wait a minute! Three writers named David wrote well research biographies about Obama? Then I thought about two of Obama’s campaign staff: David Axelrod and David Plouff. What’s up with all the Davids regarding Obama? What do you think of that? I’ve never seen one person connected to so many names (well, since I read in a biography about Jacqueline Kennedy about how many Jacks she had in her life).
If Obama had a son, he would have to name him “David”!

When I first read Nicholas’ email, my first thought was David and Goliath. Is Obama a kind of David, up against the Goliaths of corporations and big money? Can he bring them down with a sling shot and a few stones?
I’ve just seen this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5mmTcgrh0E
David with a stone in his name.

More Obama.
name coincidence like nobodies business,, and me thinks a good deal of the stuff I read is well a bit……………. ah what do I care,,, every now and then I go out and have myself a good conversation…… just a bit of gender issue problem….
David and Goliath! I didn’t even think of that. I think its quite interesting and possible.
I know some liberals are disappointed in Obama, but look what he’s up against! There is a huge bureaucracy with power hungry and corrupt humans behind it who want to keep things the same or to get away with more of the same, regarding economic policies and war policies. How can any person, with good intentions, change that alone? Even FDR told his supporters something along the lines of: “If you want something to happen, you have to mobilize and put the pressure on so that I can have the leverage to act.”
Marcus Anthony did an intuitive read on Obama and his assessment was similar to the one I’ve had of Obama. I definitely believe that Obama is the right person for the job at this time in human history. His life story attests to that fact (multinational and multiracial upbringing). In January or February 2009, I attended a lecture by Civil Rights icon Andrew Young, who admitted that he supported Hillary in the primary. The way Young told the story of Obama was so fascinating that I wish I had recorded it. He spoke of a unique destiny, which required a monumental screw-up like Bush to be put in place before hand to mess things up so badly that it would be the only way that Americans would get over their racial biases to give the job to a black man. He also said that God had the foresight to pluck an intelligent African man with ambition to work in government to study in Hawaii and meet a naive white girl to bring forth the person who would become Obama. Then God had them live in the most populated Islamic country, exposing Obama to a different culture and religion. All of this would be necessary to move the entire world forward, beyond race and beyond religion. The way Young explained it, Obama may just be the kind of leader that helps humanity evolve to the next level. His symbolic power will always be more than his actual power.
I read an article that said that part of the reason for the Arab Spring could be attributed to a speech Obama gave at Cairo University. The Arabs were fascinated that a Black man with a Muslim name could be elected president in a majority white and Christian country and it made the youth wonder why they could not have the same right in Egypt and other Arab countries to pick their own leaders, especially getting rid of bad ones, like the U.S. was able to do in 2008. There were many other factors, but don’t underestimate the power of inspiration that Obama’s life story and personality represents. I think he truly is a David fighting the Goliaths of the world.
I think he’s the right person, too, for this point in history. Like many progressives, I wish he had done more….but. He’s up against an intractable congress.
oh, i don’t know but what i wouldn’t go with the david-goliath comparison in this case, actually – but the bottom line with the election remains the same for me – obama –
i do love the numerical connections we each have and cj your take on that is always so intriguing – i could listen all day – and then, the thing with the same name in our lives etc – although i can’t think of any certain name that has repeatedly come into my life – but many years ago i heard the story – this is an aside story – of a young couple who adopted twin girls, not knowing anything at all of the natural mother and/or father and/or any of the natural family – in any event, as it turned out, one twin was named by the adoptive parents the first name of the natural maternal grandmother and was given the middle name of the natural paternal grandmother – the other twin was named the first name of the natural paternal grandmother and the middle name of the natural maternal grandmother – i think i got that all right – this is one of those stories where there were so many parallels in the lives of these families – anyway – sorry to digress – neat post!
My research in numbers has demonstrated that almost everyone has a lifetime of encounters with persons who have the same name, which correlate to number frequencies. (Sorry, “Checking”, this elderly woman is at it again!) 🙂 I have two such names, etc, myself. The name Linda has appeared consistently throughout my life, always with negative effects. And, I currently know six men, two of whom are relatives, all born on August 20th. I believe it’s a syncro at work, one of many “teaching” synchros we experience during our lives. David and Goliath? Obama? That’s a real stretch for me, but I remain disappointed in his performance. No, I will not compare him to BushCo or anyone else. I’m strictly talking about HIS performance, no one else’s. We’ll see if he has another term in office if he ups his game and really gets down to business. Hope so. There’s not much of a pool out there from which to choose a new prez.
Romney won’t beat obama.
