A Rasputin Synchro

After we were on Dreamland with Whitley Strieber and contactee Sandy, I received an email from Brent, about an interesting synchronicity concerning the famed mystic Grigori Rasputin.

Rasputin was a Russian peasant who became a mystical advisor to the House of Romanovs. He was born on  January 22, 1869 and was murdered in St Petersburg, Russia on December 30, 1916.

A vocal group called Boney M recorded a song in 1978 called Rasputin.Their lead singer, Roberto Alfonso Ferrell – Bobby –  often dressed as Rasputin while performing the song. He died in St. Petersburg, Russia, on December 30, 2010.

When I mentioned this to Rob, his first reaction was that perhaps it was some sort of past life connection. Regardless of what the connection is, it’s one of those odd synchros that involves a name and a date.

Here’s an article from a UK website about the “weird coincidence,” as they call it. There does seem to be a discrepancy in the date of death for both men – December 29 is listed in this article, but December 30 is listed in others. Whichever date is correct, both men died on the same date, but decades apart.

Thanks to Brent for bringing it to our attention!

The Black Diamond & Miniature Vortices

Today, our friend Bruce Gernon and Rob’s co-author of The Fog  dropped by the house. He had some interesting insights concerning his theory about electronic fog, what happened to him 40 years ago in the Bermuda Triangle, and what may have happened to Malaysian Flight 370.

Bruce’s visits are always interesting and today was no exception. He came with a book – The Golden Vortex by Nick Nelson – and two odd little objects. One was white and round, the other was black, until you held it up to the light and then it turned blood red and you could see something in the center of it, a round object.  You can see the black object in the photo; it looks like a miniature perfume bottle.

“So what is this, Bruce?” I asked.

“It creates miniature vortices. The author of The Golden Vortex and I did an exchange of books and he sent these little gizmos with the book. He believes that during my flight through the Bermuda Triangle, I was swept up in one of these vortices – except that it was a much larger geomagnetic phenomenon.”

I picked up the dark object. It was light, felt like plastic, yet when I touched it to the leg of our iron coffee table, it stuck to it. “It’s magnetic?”

Bruce explained that the object is made up of a plant-based nylon and carbon graphite. I wasn’t sure what carbon graphite is, so of course I went to Google and found some interesting articles here and here.

And I discovered that experiments with carbon graphite are ongoing. And yes, it’s magnetic.

Bruce handed me the brochure on this “black diamond”, as Nick Nelson calls it, and then said, “Okay, Rob, you sit on the couch. Trish and I are going to stand about three feet apart and you put the black diamond between us.”

“What are we proving here?” I asked.

“One of us is either going to shrink in height or grow taller. Rob will be able to see it.”

Huh? I was going to suddenly become the incredible shrinking woman?

Bruce and I first stood back to back, so Rob could see how much taller Bruce is.  Then Bruce and I stood side by side, about three feet apart, with the “black diamond” between us. Rob studied us, nodded, then Bruce and I changed places. In exchanging places, we had to pass through the miniature vortex created by the black diamond.

I felt…lightheaded, strange, with a tingling feeling zipping through my arms and down into my hands like an electrical current. Rob’s eyes widened. “Wow,” he said. “Trish is suddenly a couple of inches taller than Bruce.”

I had to see this for myself, so we tried the experiment with Rob and Bruce.  And I took before and after photos.

Here are Bruce and Rob, side by side in our living room before the object has been placed between them. Bruce to the left, Rob to the right. You can see they are about equal in height, relative to the TV in the background.

Then they changed places, stepping through the supposed miniature vortex created by the “black diamond,” which is between them.  Is it just me or does Bruce look taller?

Very strange stuff. I am now off to read The Golden Vortex.

I think Nick Nelson may be onto something here. And this object, when worn around the neck, allegedly has health benefits: increased stamina, focus and circulation; quicker recovery times and fewer aches and pains; less interrupted sleep and more dreaming; greater resistance to colds, flu; no jet lag,

We’ll experiment and report back.

Now she gets it

Over the years, like a lot of siblings, my sister and I (Rob and his sister) have been at odds on various issues. The one that particularly annoys  me is her continual (read intentional) difficulty in understanding synchronicity. She knows what a coincidence is, and that a synchronicity is supposedly a meaningful coincidence. But the ‘meaningful’ part of it has always stumped her. I’ve given her examples, but she always says, ‘So how is that meaningful? It’s just that you’re impressed by a coincidence. But that doesn’t impress me so much, so it’s just a coincidence to me.’

Just like when we were kids, she was still trying to counter whatever position I took on a matter. But then just recently the synchro angel came to my aid. Sister Sandy had  a coincidence that was not only meaningful, but it blew her mind open. She finally gets it. She called to tell me about it and she still can’t get over it. Here’s what happened:

Sandy was on the phone talking to our mother who was waiting for a man to arrive from the gas company to look at her furnace that was giving her problems. They talked quite awhile and Sandy mentioned something puzzling that had happened at work. One of her co-workers has a friend who knows one of Sandy’s old boyfriends. But the co-worker didn’t know his name, leaving Sandy to guess.

She was telling the story to Mom and told her that it was probably Bob Jasper. She hadn’t seen him in nearly 20 years and wondered how the woman had connected her with Bob…if that’s who it was.  (It later turned out to be someone else, but that doesn’t matter for this story.)

Mom interrupted Sandy’s musings by saying that a truck had pulled up in front of the house. It was probably the gas company. “I’ll stay on the line and wait,” Sandy said.

When Mom returned to the phone after a few minutes, she sounded odd. “It wasn’t the gas man. But it’s someone who wants to talk to you.”

“He wants to talk to me? Who is it?”

“Hey, Sandy, how are you?” a man’s voice said.

“Fine. Who are you?” Sandy asked.

“Bob Jasper.”

“What? You’re kidding me, right?”

He wasn’t. It was him and he explained that he was installing a water heater two doors down and asked if Mrs. MacGregor still lived in the neighborhood. When he was told that she did, he decided to stop by and say hello.

“I still can’t believe it,” Sandy told me. “How could that happen? I was talking about him–a guy I hadn’t seen forever—and he walks up to the door. It blows my mind. And you know what else? After he got off the phone, he went and looked at the furnace for Mom.”

Now Sandy gets it. She knows the difference between synchronicity and mere coincidence. So is the synchronicity issue settled between us? I doubt it. Knowing my sister, it’s synchronicity when it happens to her, and a mere coincidence when it happens to me. That’s just the way it is with the two of us.

Indra’s Net Revisited

Our Interview with Whitley Strieber will be available this weekend here.  We covered a spectrum of topics and had great fun! For Dreamland subscribers, there’s a second half hour to the interview where our conversation expands and includes contactee Sandy, whom we have written about before.

 +++

Today’s synchro is a great example of Indra’s net, the Hindu idea that all of us are connected in some way, at some profound level.

Kevin Pierce is an audio book narrator. This means that when you listen to an audio book, either fiction or nonfiction, his voice may be the one you’re hearing, the voice that carries you along through the story. And as any audio book listener knows, the quality of the narrator’s voice is important. Kevin’s voice is beautiful.

He has narrated dozens of books for Crossroad Press, including some of our titles.  His synchronicity involved several elements, so even though it’s straightforward, it’s beautifully layered and illustrates the often oddball things that connect us.

Kevin was narrating a book for Crossroad, which is co-owned by David Wilson. The book, The Stargate Chronicles: Memoir of  a Psychic Spy  by Joe McMoneagle  is about remote viewing during the years of Stargate, the government’s psychic spy program.

As Kevin was narrating a chapter about Joe’s attempt to find a kidnapped U.S. Army General, he suddenly realized that the general lives in his hometown of Fort Myers, Florida. And this same general sat on Kevin’s son’s service academy review board not just once, but twice.

In addition, Fort Myers, Florida happens to be the hometown of the David Wilson’s significant other and (drum roll, please) Kevin had recently narrated a book on synchronicity – The Synchronicity Highway.

Interview about The Synchronicity Highway

One of the more interesting radio/podcast interviews we did was with Hits Dyanak,  a researcher on alternative thinking. He’d seen an article we’d written for Nexus Magazine about The Synchronicity Highway —specifically, about our interview with remote viewer Joe McMoneagle and his target of Mars 1 million years ago (requested by NASA). He approached us for an interview and we were happy to oblige. He gives a video intro about his thoughts on ancient intelligent life on Mars, has some provocative questions. He put the interview on you tube.

A Synchro with The Law of One

In our book 7 Secrets of Synchronicity, secret 4 is entitled The Creative and is about how creativity lies at the heart of synchronicity. Whenever we’re engaged in creative activity of any kind, synchronicities proliferate and flourish. If we look at creativity as an archetype, it makes perfect sense that when we’re in the grips of that archetype, in that powerful flow, we’re creating a fertile environment for synchronicity.

So it isn’t surprising that Nancy Atkinson, who is now writing a book, has been experiencing synchronicity more frequently.  Periodically, she emails me one she feels is particularly strong. The books she refers to, Law of One, consists of 106 sessions received (channeled) by a research group in the early 1980s. The group consisted of Don Elkins, Carla  L. Rueckert, and James A, McCarty.  The material was received from what the group refers to as a “social memory complex, Ra.”

From Nancy:

I have a synchronicity for you. Yesterday, I was watching David Wilcock on Gaiam TV – he has a series that I find interesting.

He was talking about Law of One and what it says about why we are here – basically to create whatever we want to create, then to learn from our creations, and pass that knowledge on to others when possible. Anyway, what he was saying piqued my interest on Law of One and I went over to my bookshelf and pulled out the first book.

I opened it randomly and looked at a passage I actually had highlighted years ago. It was the very same passage he was using in his show! Obviously, it was being “highlighted” for me to use in my writing. We are never alone – we always have guides!

Here’s the passage:

The proper roles of the entity in this density is to experience all things desired, to then analyze, understand, and accept these experiences, distilling the love/light within them. Nothing shall be overcome. That which is not needed falls away.

What’s your interpretation of that passage?

When the Frogs Come Out

Our winter this year was practically nonexistent and it looks as if we’re skipping spring altogether and heading  right into summer.  For most of April, our temperatures have been in the high 80s or low 90s during the day. Right now, as I write this on April 27, at 10:30 p.m., the thermometer on our porch reads 82 degrees.

These temps bring the Cuban tree frogs out in full force. At night, they show up on our office windows because the light attracts insects and the insects are tasty dinner morsels for frogs. This evening, there were two on my window and two on Rob’s. His second frog hopped away before I snapped a photo.

Considering that frogs have been my totem animal for years, their appearance on our office windows is a synchronicity. We actually collect frogs and have dozens around the house. And over the years, real frogs have occasionally turned up inside the house temporarily joining the collection. When one does get inside, we catch it and usher it out the door before one of the cats turns it into a catch of the day. Whenever they have appeared inside the house, I take note because good luck usually follows, especially if the frog is healthy.

Sometimes, the appearance of frogs on our office windows also portends luck that often reflects how many frogs appear on our window. One frog, one surprise. Two frogs, two surprises, like that. So when I saw two frogs on my window tonight, I hurried into Rob’s office to do a frog count.

Both of us have fake frogs on the inside of our windows. Mine is a colorful metal sculpture, his is this cute frog with a funny expression that is stuck to the glass. When I saw the frog on his window, I burst out laughing. A real frog was staring up at the fake guy as though it were a god.

“It looks like the frog is paying homage to its god above, look at him. His throat is fluttering, like he’s praying to his frog god.”

So I snapped some photos and Rob got his copy up on Facebook before I’d finished this blog post. Oh well. The quickest frog gets the insect!

Soul Sensing

Janice Carlson is a medium and author whom we met a number of years ago through novelist Carole Nelson Douglas. Janice was looking for authors to blurb her book and in exchange, she would do a reading. Carole referred her to us.

As I recall, she did a reading on our golden retriever, Jessie, who had died several weeks earlier. During a trip to Minneapolis several years later, we had dinner with Janice and her husband and spent several pleasant hours talking about the paranormal. Janice has (finally!) written a book about how to communicate with loved ones who have passed on. I asked her to write up something about it so we could post it here.

+++

Having done professional afterlife-communication sessions for clients for over 20 years, I’ve learned that one of the greatest blocks to recognizing visitation from our deceased loved ones is shrugging them off as coincidences. This is really ironic, given that coincidence and synchronicity are central to the language of the dead.

In my latest book, SOUL SENSING: How to Communicate With Your Dead Loved Ones, I provide an exhaustive list of the signs of visitation from our friends, relatives and pets on the Other Side. Then I explain the barriers to afterlife communications and how to overcome them.

The most common of these barriers is to assume it’s just your imagination playing tricks on you whenever you witness a sign of visitation or receive a message from a dead loved one. But running neck and neck with the “it’s only my imagination” block is the “that was just a coincidence” excuse. I’ve run across so many so-called coincidences in two decades of working as a medium that I can’t possibly view them as anything but significant. They range from something as simple as a meaningful song coming on the radio, just as you were thinking about a dead loved one with whom you associate that particular tune to a long-lost belonging of a deceased relative or friend suddenly turning up in some unlikely way.

For instance, one of my clients was stunned to come across a vintage boat her recently deceased husband had sold five years earlier to a man who lived hundreds of miles away. Another, when thinking of her long-dead father, was completely dumbstruck when a second cousin arrived at her doorstep unannounced with a toy model of a plane her fighter-pilot dad had flown during the Second World War!

To write off such amazing experiences as nothing more than coincidences is to miss some of the greatest gifts those on the Other Side give us. Rob & Trish MacGregor knew this when they wrote their must-read book SYNCHRONICITY AND THE OTHER SIDE. But synchronicity is just the beginning when it comes to afterlife communications. SOUL SENSING is filled with ways to send and receive messages from the dead. It will not only help you get in touch with your passed loved ones and pets, but stay in touch with them.

A sample chapter is available here.

What Headlines Tell Us

I’m not a particularly organized person. I don’t make the bed in the morning. The clothes in my closet aren’t arranged by color or type.   My shoes are everywhere – the closet, under my desk, just outside the utility room door in the garage. But I am organized about things that are important to me – my writing, my dream journals, and my morning perusal of headlines.

When I get up in the morning, one of the first things I do is retrieve my phone and my iPad from my office. As I prepare my breakfast (nearly always the same – grapefruit, English muffin, coffee),  I head online and glance through headlines on various news sites.

One recent morning, here are some of the headlines I saw:

REBEL RANCHER CAUGHT IN RACIST RANT

RUSSIA MAKES AGGRESSIVE MOVE TOWARD UKRAINE

VETERANS’ CEMETERY WON’T ALLOW “THE ASHES OF A COUPLE OF OLD LESBIANS” TO BE BURIED TOGETHER

WATER BECOMING MORE VALUABLE THAN GOLD

ISRAEL CALLS OFF PEACE TALKS AFTER PALESTINIAN DEAL

OCCUPY AMAZON

All of these headlines, except for the last one, are negative. The Occupy Amazon headline is about how three books currently on Amazon’s bestseller list – somewhere in slots 1-5 – are about income inequality not only in the US, but worldwide. It’s about how trickle down economics – a long time philosophy in the University of Chicago school of economics – doesn’t work. Not only does it not work, but it creates an even greater disparity between the rich – and everyone else. Naomi Klein, in her brilliant The Shock Doctrine, explains trickle down in a way that even non-economists can understand.

If I were going to rewrite the news as a reflection of a society in which I would be honored to live, these headlines would read:

REBEL RANCHER BECOMES A VEGAN

RUSSIA AND THE UKRAINE UNITE IN PACT OF PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE

VETERANS’ CEMETERY BURIES “THE ASHES OF A COUPLE OF OLD LESBIANS” TOGETHER

WATER IS NOW MORE PLENTIFUL THAN GOLD – AND IT’S FREE!

ISRAEL AND PALESTINE SET NEW PRECEDENT- PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE

OCCUPY AMAZON: EQUALITY HAS ARRIVED

My ideal society is straightforward:

The people – not banks or corporations, politicians or lobbyists – are the backbone of civilization

Universal health care in the purest sense of the word. No one goes bankrupt over health care. It’s a RIGHT not an insurance postscript

Free energy & free Internet

Insurance companies no longer exist

Not a single soul on the planet goes to bed hungry or scrambles for the next meal

The two-party political system is dead

The NSA – and all of the US government acronym agencies – are history. We’re told the truth about everything – even Roswell and aliens!

Organized religion is abolished as a political entity and is taxed just like the rest of us

The 2nd amendment to the constitution – that we have the right to bear warms – is eliminated because there’s no need for it. Crime is non-existent.

The living and the dead are seen as two sides of consciousness and communicate regularly. It’s like ET calling home.

Synchronicity is recognized as a unifying force

That list doesn’t go far enough, but you get the general idea. My ideal society is the paragon of the Aquarian Age, a time when we are all supposedly truly equal, in every sense of the word. A level playing field.

In my ideal world, we – the inhabitants of planet Earth, of this space/time continuum – are as conscious as the planet is. We understand who we are, how we got here, and where we’re going. We embrace each moment, savor it, and move forward collectively as a species to discover the unknown, to peel away the layers of what we don’t grasp.

Collectively and individually, we create a world free of war, conflict, hunger, angst. We create a paradise on Earth.

Okay, so we’re not there yet. But hey, we can dream, right? And maybe that’s where it starts- first in dreams and then those dreams spill out into the physical world.

A couple of in-tune synchros

Both of these stories involve famous singers who needed a ride from drivers they didn’t know, and both climbed into vehicles of fans who just happened to have the singers on their minds at the time.

The first one took place recently in Manchester, England. Here’s a summary of the tale from the Manchester Evening News.

***

A taxi driver who has been a Johnny Mathis fan for 30 years had the surprise of his life when he went to pick up a fare – and his musical hero climbed into the back of his cab.

John McManus had been hoping to see the veteran crooner in concert in Manchester on Saturday night but was left disappointed when he was unable to get a ticket.

The morning after the concert at the Phones4u Arena, 65-year-old John, of Manchester Road, Wardley, put on a CD of Johnny Mathis’ greatest hits as he was sent to collect a passenger at the Lowry Hotel.

And the granddad of five was stunned when the 78-year-old American star opened the door and sat on the back seat.

His favourite song ‘Someone’ – with the line ‘someone wants to say hello’ – was playing just as Mathis climbed in.

McManus  said: “As this line of the song played the cab door opened and I heard a voice say ‘you’ve got good taste in music.’

***

Something similar happened to Emily Kraus and her boyfriend. They were en route to a Dave Matthews concert last July when they stopped to help a bicylist who had a flat tire and needed a ride. Astonishingly, it was Dave Matthews himself, and they gave him a ride to his own concert. Matthews bought them dinner and gave them front row seats. Here’s the whole story from RollingStone.

Dave Matthews told the story on stage about how he got to the concert.
