Repeating Numbers

Canadian Judi Hertling, whose synchros we’ve written about before, recently sent me her record of repeating numbers and speculates that these numbers correlate to events. The numbers, she said, showed up everywhere – on clocks, receipts, TV, magazines etc. – and are usually combined with sadness.

“The event appears to happen within four days of numbers appearing repetitively. Is this a universal warning for sensitive to send more light into the world?” she asks. “Or something else?”

Are these repetitive numbers related to planetary empaths?

Striped Shirts Galore

Here’s a visual synchronicity that was posted in a Facebook Synchronicity site. At first, I thought it might be a prank on synchronicity. In other words, a family all dressed in the same t-shirts, for whatever reason, waiting for a bus. But on closer inspection, I noticed that the shirts are not all the same. The one on the standing woman doesn’t have a black neck ring and the one worn by the seated woman looks somewhat different from the one on the man to her left. I think that a family set would probably be identical, bought at the same time and place.

The kicker is the second pic someone poster in the comments showing a girl riding by on a bike wearing a similar black-and-white striped t-shirt. Zebra power!

Jung’s Castle

In 1975, I was a social worker in Vero Beach, Florida, and totally hated my job. The people who really needed assistance – food stamps and health care, the most basic needs – couldn’t get it. I can’t imagine what sort of system exists now for these things under the trump admin. But hey, full disclosure, I cheated on the forms so that an elderly couple who ended up in my office could get both.

Chris, one of the women I worked with, had lost her husband and needed a respite. “Let’s go to Europe, Trish.”

So we saved our $ and during that summer of 1975, we went to Europe for six weeks. My one and only trip. In Switzerland, our first stop was Zurich, a city I didn’t particularly like. The only thing I waned to see was Carlo Jung’s castle on the shores of Lake Zurich. I’d been pretty much obsessed with Jung’s theories since discovering the I Ching when I was 18, where he’d written the introduction to the Richard Wilhelm edition of the Ching in 1949 and introduced the concept of synchronicity.

Chris didn’t know anything about Jung or the I Ching, but was ready to explore. So one morning we set out on a train for Bollingen. The train was late getting in and leaving, which turned out to be a synchro for  what happened later. When we got to Bollingen, I didn’t have a clue where Jung’s place might be. So I asked someone, a woman, who pointed the way.

Lake Zurich was impressive back then. I don’t know what it looks like now, except through Google. But that afternoon, Chris and I approached the castle from the back, where a young man and a dog were inside a fenced yard. I went up to the fence and introduced myself. The man was Jung’s grandson.

He looked like the pictures I’d seen of a younger Jung and spoke a broken English, a good thing since I didn’t speak a word of German. I asked him about the castle – did it have electricity now? Yes, it did. His parents, he said, had electricity installed after Jung died in 1961. Then we started talking about the I Ching, synchronicity, astrology, Jung’s mysticism, what it was like for him as Jung’s grandson. Some 20 or 30 minutes later, I walked back to Chris, my mind totally blown.

I don’t remember the train ride back to Zurich. I don’t remember much of our journey through Switzerland after that except the country has fantastic cheese. I realized, though, that if the train we’d taken from Zurich had been on time, I wouldn’t have met Jung’s grandson. This encounter, brief as it was, seems to have dominated my fascination with synchronicity – what it is and isn’t, how it works, why it works, and why it may be the answer to a quantum riddle about the nature of reality.

Quantum physicist David Bohm talked about the deeper order in the universe, an implicate or enfolded order out of which everything else is born, even time and space. In Bohm’s view, the explicate or unfolded is our external reality.

Synchronicity lies along the border between the two, our most accessible, conscious path into the mystery of it all.

Back to Cartagena…and beyond

A few weeks ago, our daughter Megan asked us if we wanted to join her and a couple of friends on a week-long trip to the Colombia coastal destinations of historic Cartagena, the mountain village of Minca, and the beach town of Santa Marta. We said, why not? We’d done it before in the mid-‘80s when we led adventure tours to South America for several years.

When I mentioned this upcoming trip in April to a radio show host who had recently interviewed us, he wondered what we were doing going to such a dangerous destination. Actually, Colombia was far more dangerous in the ’80 at the height of the drug wars and the growing presence of FARC, an armed revolutionary movement. The drug trade still exists but more  low key, and the revolutionary group has finally made peace with the government after decades of fighting. In our tours, we never stayed anywhere for more than a few days before moving on or returning to the States, and we never had any problems—not in Cartagena, Bogota, Santa Marta, or the Colombian Andes (Boyaca).

The only place we did encounter some trouble was on one of our three trips into the Upper Amazon traveling from Leticia, Colombia to Iquitos, Peru in a converted rubber boat. Interestingly, what happened to us also involved a fascinating and unlikely synchronicity.

Here’s the story.

Everything began well. We had a group of seven or eight people with us. The sleeping quarters we tiny and we had to double up, but it was an adventure. Each day we would take side trips in the rain forest with a local guide and we stopped in a couple of native villages. It was the third day of the trip and we were all below deck watching the movie, Fitzcarraldo, when we were nearly thrown from our seats as the ship hit something. It was the dry season, the river was unusually low, and we’d struck a sandbar. We were stuck, unable to move. Ironically and synchronistically,  it happened we were at the point in the movie where the rubber boat carrying Fitzcarraldo—which was also traveling in the Upper Amazon—struck a sandbar!

In the movie, the crew had to drag the ship through the jungle to another tributary.
Fortunately, we only had to get out of the boat and stand in waist deep water with the piranhas while the crew pushed the vessel off the sandbar. I recall it took at least a couple of hours. Fun times. No one was eaten by piranhas and no blow darts were shot at us from the jungle! Another synchro: our converted rubber boat was the sister ship of the rubber boat was used in the movie!

Rob, Bruce, and Filming for an Ancient Aliens Episode

So, here’s the setup. Rob and his co-author for Beyond the Bermuda Triangle, Bruce Gernon, are going to be on an episode of Ancient Aliens called Earth’s Black Holes. This was the scene today, March 30, at Wellington’s Aero Club, an aeronautical community where some of the filming took place.

These interviews involve time travel, UFOs, aliens (of course) and teleportation – Bruce’s strange and harrowing journey through the Bermuda Triangle. Everything they talked about is recounted in Beyond the Bermuda Triangle, the idea that these black holes are located all over the planet.

One of the stories is about John Murphy’s experience in Bermuda in 1964, when he was in the Navy. It’s one of the best and most convincing time travel stories I’ve ever read. It also has reincarnational undercurrents, something the production people didn’t want discussed since the show is, after all, about aliens!

There were 8 crew members with 4 vans filled with equipment. They had rented an eight-seater plane and earlier in the day had flown out to Andros Island, filming in flight. The afternoon filming took place outside a hangar at the Aero Club. Sandy McAdams, whose hangar it is, has 3 incredible planes in his hangar and gave me a little tour of these incredible crafts. One of them, an experimental craft which you can see in the background of this photo, weighs 2200 pounds, flies 300 knots, and makes it from Wellington to Canada in just 5 hours, flying at 28,000 feet. The cabin is pressurised but Sandy says he carries oxygen just in case.

Bruce on camera. This is the 38th documentary Bruce has done since the publication of  his and Rob’s book The Fog. He said  it was the most professional.

Carol Bowman

I first met Carol at a Border’s Bookstore. I was just perusing the aisles and the above book literally fell at my feet. That type of synchro is sometimes called the library angel, but this time it was the bookstore angel.

I read the book at a furious pace and at the end of it, I was so blown away I contacted her. That was in 1998, I think, so 20 years ago. In the years since, Carol wrote Return from Heaven, another stunner, about reincarnation within the same family, and has had an active regression therapy practice.

Now, for only the fifth time, Carol is offering a 3-day intensive training to teach past life regression therapy. The training is open only to practicing therapists, hypnotherapists, counselors, and health care professionals who intend to use past life therapy with their clients.

Carol teaches past life therapy methods she learned from pioneers in the field and has perfected over the last 30 years. The training will be held at the Tenemos Community Retreat “Nature’s Sanctuary” in West Chester, Pa from May 4-6. If I were a counselor or therapist, I know where I’d be spending that those 3 days!

Full Moon in Libra and Beyond…and trump

Full moons are about completions, the harvest, the illumination of some facet of your life. Full moons often bring news, too. On March 31, the full moon at 10 degrees Libra should be a beauty for air signs – Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius and for fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius – if you adhere to a few simple guidelines.  Here’s why:

There are some challenging aspects from Saturn (structure, authority, government, responsibilities, discipline) and from Mars (physicality, sexuality, ambition, action) which are both in Capricorn at 8 and 7 degrees respectively. The angle these two planets make to the moon are called squares – 90 degrees with a 5 degree leeway on either side. Also, the moon is opposed to Mercury (communication) at 12 degrees Aries, which is still retrograde.

Squares cause friction, oppositions involve conflict and tension. So, my advice is to think before you speak, particularly if you’re irritated or angry. Don’t rush to get anything done or to be somewhere on time. If you’re late for work or an appointment, keep to the speed limit. With Mars squaring this moon, the possibility for a speeding ticket is enhanced. If you have authoritarian despots in your life (Saturn) avoid conflict by simply removing yourself from the situation.

As I was writing this, I wondered how this full moon would impact trump’s chart.

Transiting Saturn is in his 5th house, the outer circle at 8 Capricorn, and is directly opposed to his natal Mercury (communication) in the 11th house, inner wheel, at 8 Cancer. Since Saturn represents discipline, something he lacks, he’s going to be fighting his inner demons on or around the time of the this full moon, anxious to tweet something that his advisors advise against. Because this is an opposition, the pressure within him will be cranked to the point where he may not be able to hold back.

However, I think the real shit show will begin around May 15, when Uranus – the planet of sudden, unforeseen surprises – enters Taurus. Right now, you can see Uranus at 27 Aries, moving through Trump’s 9th house along with Venus at 00 Taurus. Uranus is never subtle. In March 2011 when Uranus (rules earthquakes) entered Aries (the warrior), there was a 9.0 quake in Japan that resulted in a tsunami and the meltdown of Fukushima. The quake on May 15 may be of a different sort. The 9th house represents, among other things, the law and lawyers. Could this transit possibly result in legal action against trump in the Mueller investigation? Or from one of the lawsuits that Stormy Daniels has filed against him?

Uranus rules his natal 6th house of daily health and work. Another possible ramification of this transit is a sudden disruption in his daily life (which has become business as usual from the guy who says he likes chaos) or a sudden health event- heart attack, stroke. Because of a retrograde – where planets appear to be moving backward relative to the earth – Uranus moves back into Aries the day after the mid-term elections. It then enters Taurus again on March 10, 2019 and remains there for 7 years.

However all this shakes out for trump and the rest of us, one thing we can expect is the unexpected.

A hug or a hump?’

The relationship that has developed between Noah and Nigel is interesting. There’s something very human in this hug, Nigel’s legs holding and surrounding Noah’s upper body like this, the human equivalent of, Oh wow, you’re my dude, forevermore!

But Nigel hasn’t been fixed yet. Several vets have cautioned against it until Nigel is a year old. New research suggests that Golden Retrievers fixed before a year are more prone to cancer. So we’ve been waiting. But Nigel is now 9 months old and if this is a hump rather than a hug, then it’s time, dude, I’m sorry, but it’s time.

Still… there’s something in this photo that suggests, well, You’re my bro, dude. You’ve been showing me the ropes.  You’re my mentor. I love ya.

A Crushing Synchronicity

We’ve often noted that when shocking tragic events occur, there are related synchronicities and premonitions. That was again the case with the collapse on March 15 of a pedestrian bridge on the campus of Florida International University in Miami. One hundred and fifty tons of steel and concrete crashed down on several vehicles killing six people. Two of the vehicles were so badly crushed that the cars had to be towed away with the bodies still inside.

In this instance, the collapse triggered memories of premonitions related to another bridge tragedy that was oddly related to this new construction disaster.

Within hours of the collapse, I (Rob) received two emails from friends in Minneapolis who both noted that the bridge designer was the same one that had designed the new 35W bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis that replaced the bridge that collapsed in 2007 killing thirteen. One of my correspondents, Barbara, an architect, said that from watching the video of the collapse, it appeared to be a construction problem, not a design issue.

Then, she went on to tell me about premonitions relating to the earlier collapse of the bridge in Minneapolis. “A few days before the incident, my boss told me his wife told him she had a strong premonition there was a problem with the (35W) bridge, and oddly I’d had a jarring dream of the collapse myself,” she wrote.

“In the dream I am looking toward the bridge but I’m captivated by a large building close up. Later I understood it was there to block my view.

“This dream building is clad in black glass and behind that I can very faintly see its skeleton structure. I recognized the structural system—it is used often in bridges. (But it is upside down….if it were a bridge.)

“As I wrote this into my dream journal, this famous line pops into my mind, ‘Now you see as through a glass darkly, but then you shall understand.’

“That dream internally hung around me and dogged me ….. until the bridge collapsed. Then all it’s metaphorical elements revealed themselves. That mysterious dream, sadly, made perfect sense.”

Barbara has since wondered why she had that dream, and why was the insight into it blocked until shortly after the collapse?

She also noted something significant that might provide an answer to her questions about the dream. “About 6 weeks prior to its collapse, I experienced something very weird on that bridge. As I drove onto it (and I rarely drive in that area), I almost immediately began feeling a lot of abnormal movement. I told myself, call MnDOT and report this. Then I began ruminating about calculations used in design—they’re always way past minimum. I talked myself out of calling.”

To this day, she regrets not having acted on her hunch after driving over the bridge, and she even feels guilty about it. And maybe with good reason. She added: “A later news report said that the bolts at the south end of the bridge (where I drove onto it) were subsequently found to have failed. They were not caught in inspections.”

Barbara’s dreaming self might’ve been warning her about what was to come. Considering her unwillingness to report her troubling thoughts, the black-clad building symbolically blocked her view of what was to come. In essence, the dream was telling her she was unwilling to look closely at her concerns about the bridge.
