Gypsy has had some unusual sightings over the years. We’ve posted stories about several of them. The following sighting occurred not long after her experience on a bus, which we wrote about here.

Shortly after my bus/UFO incident, I moved to a rural area outside the city limits of Monroe, Louisiana. On this particular afternoon, my children were home from school and playing in the living room.
The living room had a large picture window with venetian blinds and drapes. At some point I had asked one of the kids to close the blinds and draw the drapes across the big window. A bit later, I was in the kitchen [an open living space but from where I stood, the window wasn’t visible] and noticed that the room was lit up from the window. I asked again for the kids to close the blinds and draw the drapes and they said they had.
But there was this bright light – so bright that for a fleeting second I thought it must be the evening sunset. Then I remembered the window didn’t face west, so it couldn’t possibly be the setting sun. I walked over to the window and opened the drapes and blinds – and saw the source of this brilliant light.
Three circular objects hovered right under the treetops in the field behind the house. Each one was lit up and not with a row of lights kind of things. Each of these circular objects was brilliantly lit, they hovered at different heights, and were about the size of the body of a helicopter. If memory serves, they were varying shades of brilliant red-orange.
We all just stood there at the window, looking out at these tremendous, soundless, hovering balls of lights. We stood there probably a minute or so before they just swept upward and over the trees and disappeared. I have no idea what they were. Shortly after that, I moved and never saw the objects again, nor do I want to. This occurred sometime in the month of December.

I asked Gypsy if these objects were giant orbs. She replied: “Yes, they were like huge orbs – imagine something about the size of a helicopter body.”

I’m slapping myself on the forehead! These look just like the formation of “bright lights” my husband and I saw a couple of weeks ago, at twilight, as we were driving due south on A1A!!!! I wrote about them here. They weren’t red-orange, though. They were bright, bright, blinding white, hovering out just past the surfline which is due east of A1A, and the lights were a few hundred feet above the water. A1A runs parallel to the ocean down the peninsula, and in that particular area just south of Marineland the road is VERY close to the water. Several other vehicles stopped alongside ours to look at these things in the sky. They definitely weren’t stars, helicopters, or planes, and they were eerily silent, just stting there like these gigantic orbs, until one of them moved away from the group, no sound at all to it, and moved due west across the road and disappeared. It wasn’t moving fast. Don’t you wonder if they are watching US, or if they want us to watch THEM, or if they’ve merely on maneuvers of some kind that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with humans??? Eeewwww. Being “watched” is not a pleasant thoght at all.
Interesting story from gypsy. They seem to be a completely different ‘breed’ from those often caught on digital cameras. Quite a mystery, must have a search round Google.
What an amazing story……..thanks to Gypsy for sharing it. It almost seems to me that, since they were so close and so brilliant, they wanted Gypsy to notice them?

Some of them were red in color. Some “orb like lights” were seen over Tucson the next day (August 2nd) and photographed, interesting that one of them turned bright red before disappearing.

the time of day would have been twilight – i had thought the light through the window was the setting sun so – late evening – december – we weren’t frightened – more mesmerized –
Then the light must’ve been incredibly bright!
Quite an experience, Gyps! Thanks for sharing! Looking at the picture above, if you look at it closely, it does look like the bottom of a disc-shaped spacecraft. One thing I’ve noticed in my own expereinces and those of many others, is that they often appear in threes. Sometimes singly, sometimes in groups, but more often than not, it seems they do tend to come in threes, and I’ve often wondered about that. The black helicopters generally appear in a group of three, as do the real men in black. Odd. Gyps, were you and the kids frightened, or just mesmerized? Was it still daylight, twilight, outside? Or dark? In any event, this was quite an event. I continue to think our skies will one day be completely covered by these “things”. Just a matter of time.
And when if occurs, (not if, but when), there will be millions of humans who will be petrified and whose entire lifetime of beliefs will dissolve into a puddle of confusion and terror. Life will imitate art, methinks.
