Tree of souls
The crash of Germanwings Flight 9525 leaves many puzzling questions, but foremost among them is that if the copilot deliberately crashed the plane, why did he do it?
The other question I find myself asking is if, in a disaster like this, where people die so violently and could be heard screaming on the voice recorder, what happens on the other side in the immediate aftermath?
Is the trauma of that death – an air disaster – carried into the afterlife? Is it carried into another life as a theme, perhaps as a fear of flying or some other phobia? Is there an emergency team on the other side that deals with the souls of these 150 people? Are there certain souls on the other side who are “trained” to do this kind of work? What about disasters where thousands die, like the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004? A war? A disaster like 9-11?
I Googled the question: What happens to souls in the aftermath of a disaster? A lot of Biblical stuff and emergency preparedness stuff came up. But nothing that really shed any light on this question. So I asked our psychic friend, Millie Gemondo, if she thought there was an emergency team of first responders in the afterlife. “Great question,” she laughed. “I know there are souls who help after you have passed over, but a team? I have no idea. I do feel, though, that more and more people will be choosing to pass on in mass deaths, like in natural disasters, war, plane crashes.”
“Why?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” Millie said. “It’s just what I feel is happening and going to happen during this time.”
I asked author and past-life regressionist Carol Bowman the same question. In her regression work, she has found that certain themes carry over from life. Let’s say that in one past life, you strangled to death; in this life, you might be born with the chord wrapped around your neck. That’s a simple example. Carol’s response:
I’ll get back to you when I die. In the meantime:
From what I understand, there are always guides/souls waiting on the other side to help. With a sudden and traumatic death like that, they were already out of their bodies before the plane hit, as far as I know. You know those NDE stories of people in horrific car crashes who are standing beside the mangled car and their injured bodies wondering what happened? They shot out of their bodies before the moment, or at the moment of impact. They’re just confused by the suddenness of the death.
There seem to be souls who specialize in these types of deaths, and, I imagine, in mass events like this one.
That’s what I’ve put together from the NDEs and from the regression work.
I also asked our friend Nancy McMoneagle, the director of The Monroe Institute, this same question. The institute explores the nature of consciousness, so I found her response particularly insightful:
I do believe once anyone crosses over for any reason, there are others to meet him/her. A special non-physical team dealing with disasters? Why not?! We actually have a program at the Institute called “Lifeline,” which is very much about helping people out who have passed on who may not be aware of it, or who might be stuck.
In fact, “The Unexplained” TV show did a story on the Lifeline program a few years ago. My sister was one of the trainers for it. Her funniest comment was how she called this group “Club Dead.” (Club Med’s counterpart?!) One of the participants talked about a guy who had died in Ohio, gave his last name, info on his family, etc., etc., and the film crew actually found these folks – and she had no knowledge of him or his family whatsoever.
I’ve got a few other people to ask about this, but what ideas do you all have?
Lorna Byrne is an Irish writer/psychic who claims to have been seeing and talking to angels since childhood, writes in her book Angels In My Hair that one day she witnessed a bombing in a busy street in Dublin when she saw angels helping those who got killed.
Fascinating! I’ll look up her book. It sounds good!
I don’t see why there wouldn’t be a ‘team’ on the other side following a plane crash or similar – there must be many, many souls who could do this. I mean, how many souls are there? – must be quite a few! So a disaster could easily be dealt with.
We need to get out of linearity and the linear way of thinking, even 20,000 billion years ahead is NOW! All our lives and various incarnations and births and deaths on this planet and others all happening simultaneously. It’s a huge concept to grasp.
O O O O O O yeah it is!!
One of the reasons I have premonitions of big disasters and huge loss of life is because I seem to have a role helping souls to exit, part of me helps with that. Since there is no time, ALL time is now, there are no past lives because
You Exist Simultaneously throughout the Universe
Because time and other limitations don’t really exist, souls are able to incarnate simultaneously into numerous timeframes and dimensions. As we move further into the awakening process, we gain awareness of other aspects of our selves simultaneously existing throughout the universe. Some of these aspects are incarnated into physical reality in other timeframes – both past and future – and some aspects reside in other locations in the universe serving as soul guides, spirit helpers and originators of new realities. As we accept that our other aspects exist, we develop the potential for communication and sharing with these aspects.
Jane – do you think other planetary empaths help souls cross over?
Trish, you sent me running for my copy of “The Blue Island: Experiences of a New Arrival Beyond the Veil.” It’s author is W.T.Stead, after his death on the Titanic, channeled by his daughter, Estelle Stead and medium, Pardoe Woodman. Are you familiar with the book? In it he declines to dwell on the disaster, but focuses on what happened after he died. It’s fascinating; he says that once he realized he was dead, he was able to help others who were struggling with the realization. Also, that they all seemed to be waiting for the dead to gather once the disaster was over, then were all transported to what seemed like an island where each was met by beloved family or friends who had crossed previously. He talks about a prevailing light on the island that cast a blue hue, which he says was part of the healing environment. Here, he explains, everyone was completely absorbed in their own situation because it was part of what they needed to heal. I’m going to re-read it, but if you’re not familiar with Stead, a newspaper editor and writer, he became, along with his friend, Sir Conan Doyle, fascinated with Spiritualism in the 1890’s in England; he attributes his relative ease of adjustment post-death to his experiences while alive. Also very interesting is the synchro fact that prior to his demise on the Titanic he wrote two short stories about shipwrecks, one where there were not enough lifeboats, and he warned that this could happen and the other where the state of the art liner, “The Majestic” went down after hitting an iceberg. On another point about this topic, I’ve learned, working with Robert Moss’s approach, that we can help those who cross from this side through our own dreaming. I believe this is true; I had an uncanny experience after the Sandy Hook tragedy. I avoided listening to the news all day and went to bed requesting that if I could be of any help, I’d be able to do so in my dreams that night. I’ve never written about it in my blog out of respect for the parents and others grieving for their children, but my dream gave me the opportunity to intervene on behalf of one child, much as I would have had I encountered a lost child crying in waking reality. That’s as much as I’d like to say, but it convinced me that we don’t have to be on the other side to help the dead, especially in situations of shock and trauma. As always, a fascinating and thought provoking post.
I haven’t read the blue island, but I certainly will now! Would love to hear more about your experience with the sandy hook person… You should go through the Monroe Institute lifeline program that Nancy mentions in her comment. You would blow them out of the water!
I’m not sure if the book is still in print; I think I got mine on half.com, but maybe a library? There’s also Buhlman’s latest book, “Adventures in the Afterlife.”
Obviously I totally agree with Nancy . After leaving my previous message to go downstairs, I just HAD to come back and share this….my “head honcho guide” popped through very clearly and said, “Connie, the spirit entities who move to the front lines when a major catastrophe is expected to send huge groups of suddenly-released souls, may be accurately called “Heaven’s First Responders”. This brought me such a terrific smile, as it seems so fitting in these chaotic times! He knows I don’t refer to The Other Side as “heaven”, (I generally say Elsewhere),and I understood he used the word “heaven” to encompass ALL the dimensions of Beingness outside the physical vehicle. I simply love that term”Heaven’s First Responders”!! He knew I would!
Fascinating!!
A married couple and their teenage son came to me for a reading a few years ago. I did not have any idea why they came, what they needed, and I didn’t ask. When she called to make the appt, I only asked for her first name, which was my “always” manner of making appts. I didn’t want more going in. I don’t ask clients questions. It was also my practice to only have one person in my session room, but this woman requested that her husband and son be in there with her, and she sounded upset, so allowed that. Very quickly after we sat down, I moved into a deeply altered state, and a young man (invisible to them) was standing beside me. There were several other discarnates with him. He told me his name was Michael; that he was 19 years old; that he had attended a party where liquor flowed; some of the folks got out of hand, and a fight began. Several of them went outside, including Michael and a couple of his friends. One of those friends was named David. David, Michael told me, had a gun in his car, and in the middle of the fighting, the gun went off and Michael was instantly killed. He was very adamant….he wanted his parents and family to KNOW that his death was accidental, because they were blaming David for “murdering” their son. Michael said it was absolutely accidental, and told them not to blame David. Michael introduced two of the discarnates with him as aunt, ( his mother’s deceased sister), and his grandmother,( his Dad’s mother). He told me their names, and asked me to tell his parents and little brother that the aunt and grandmother were standing right there when he left his body, with their arms open for him. He said he wasn’t sure what had happened ,wasn’t aware for a few minutes that he was “dead”, but adjusted really quickly when it was explained. He then “remembered” the accident. Before he faded from the room and my connection with him, he did tell his Mom and Dad that it had been his “time”; not to worry, that he was “doing great” and would see them when they joined him. He gave sufficient evidential information for the family to recognize without doubts that they were hearing from their “lost” son.
I had a few other sessions through the years where spirits who had passed quickly and unexpectedly came in, and ALL of them mentioned having been met at the very moment they left their bodies, and most of them talked about looking at the scene of their death alongside their spirit “helpers” who had been right there in the moment of transition. So, I have no reason to doubt that sudden death folks, and even the simultaneous deaths of thousands such as in 9-11, are met by others Over There.
I seem to have been given an insight that when a catastrophe of huge magnitude is imminent, there are enormous “gatherings” of Spirit Helpers who KNOW and who wait and are immediately in the presence of the souls’ arrival. I like to believe this, and I do.
I have studied this issue for some time. I do believe we are met as we pass over. Each of the people in the disaster have their own soul groups – some of which are not incarnated – that meet them as they pass over. Some want to see a religious figure, and that is who they meet. I believe we go into a bardo-like stage right after death that corresponds to our belief system as a way to ease us into our new situation. I think each individual has its own experience.
I also agree that many more will pass over in major disasters. In the Law of One, RA states:
Questioner: OK. Now as this transition continues into fourth-density activation, in order to inhabit this fourth-density sphere it will be necessary for all third-density physical bodies to go through the process which we refer to as death. Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. This is correct.
Totally agree, Nancy!
