Earthquake in Nepal & Planetary Empaths

In Aliens in the Backyard, we have a chapter called “Earth Shakings,” which is about planetary empaths. This chapter grew out of pieces we posted on our blog about this phenomenon.

On March 11, 2010 and on March 11, 2011, we posted our first two pieces on planetary empaths. These individuals are so attuned to the planet that they experience physical, emotional and psychic symptoms days and sometimes weeks before a natural disaster.

Periodically, we receive emails from some of these planetary empaths about the symptoms they are experiencing. In late March/early April 2013, several empaths reported recurring and persistent symptoms. These symptoms apparently were related to the events at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, and possibly to the 7.8 quake in Iran the same day.

So we created a page where these individuals can report their symptoms. On April 25, 2015, Nepal suffered a massive 7.8 – 7.9 earthquake, depending on which source you read. On the day of the quake, a woman named Liz posted on the empath page:

Yesterday evening I became extremely nervous and sick at my stomach. This morning my friend sent me the link to this page about Planetary Empaths. After reading my email, I checked my Facebook and had a message that a FB friend was okay after the earthquake. That was the first I had heard about the quake. I am Buddhist and am sure that my unease was due to this quake. I still feel sick and keep wanting to cry.

Sharlie West, who periodically emails me her visions and dreams, some of which are precognitive, sent me this:

Three weeks ago I told husband Jim that there would be a huge explosion, possibly an earthquake, and thousands of people would suffer. This was before  I went to sleep, in that in-between state. I could see them running.

Three weeks before 9/11 I dreamed about bodies floating upward near the buildings, all in black and white. Guess I was seeing the negative.

And it’s not over yet. There will be a series of them. There’s a heaviness knowing it can’t be stopped.

Did anyone else experience any symptoms before the quake on April 25? Connie? Debra?

Another large quake in Nepal…not an aftershock. This time I had the “baby cricket” clicking quietly in my left ear prior to the second quake manifesting. But also had another pretty devastating symptom that was definitely a planetary event . This symptom was new for me, and very, very scary. I had been stable feet, was wide awake, not on PD meds, walked from our bedroom into our bathroom, which is quite large, and suddenly fell onto the floor without warning. I was experiencing no dizziness or disequilibrium, nor did my legs get weak. I fell as if the room itself, as opposed to ME, had suddenly tilted. (With vertigo I tilt, the room doesn’t.) When I fell, I hit the front of the toilet against the sternum above my breasts all the way across, my mid-abdomen on the tub edge all the way across, and of course my knees, legs, feet got all tangled. It stunned me, as such a sudden fall will do, but thank goodness I didn’t hit my head altho my neck twisted, and I was alone, so getting back up was difficult. Afterwards my entire body is battered and bruised, naturally, and I continue to feel as if I’ve been hit by a truck and am still trying to recover. It MAY have been relative to the Amtrack trail derailment….considering this type of symptom hasn’t happened to me in the past, and when I saw the train crash, it just felt right. The train went into that curve at 107mph, a curve posted at 55mph. Anyway, a new PE symptom for me, and I’ve learned to recognize them.

I had a terrible rumbling noise in my ear for weeks that kept getting worse until I went to the ENT doctor.
I usually get a clicking noise in my left ear when a big earthquake is about to happen, but this was different.
The rumbling noise has subsided but lately I’ve been walking on a “rocking boat” which can mean earthquake with tsunami but I don’t have any ear noises at the moment.
I do feel that there are going to be a lot of crazy weather events through November.
Possibly another hurricane or very large storm hitting the Northeast of the USA again.

There’s a system off the coast of south carolina/georgia now that may become the first named storm of the season. Kind of early!

On Thursday before the earthquake I lay on the ground in my garden and my body shook violently. On Friday I said to a friend a massive earthquake is coming with huge loss of life, to which he replied “they are going on all the time somewhere” .i told him I get premonitions of the ones that hit global news. On sat morning I awoke feeling shock, grief, terror, loss & knew it had happened, I struggled to clear those emotions for hours, I heard on the radio about Nepal on Saturday afternoon & knew there was more to come.
A friend of mine had posted pics in Nepal the week before, due to illness he cut short his visit & flew out of Katmandu the day before the earthquake!

As an empath one soaks up,the predominant feelings in the collective consciousness – ones own vibration is lowered to match it, if one can shift in to compassion this raises the vibration & assists. In clearing / healing one own distress you are also clearing it for the collective.

It’s too bad that planetary empathy usually can’t determine the location of disasters in advance. We could set up a warning system.

I did not report what I felt before it happened. I am caring for my dying companion of 13 years, Thomas (a cat) and my health problems.
I had constant pressure and ringing in my ears. I kept saying to Larry (husband) something is wrong. Something is very wrong. It is huge. I can’t tell if it’ll effect us personally (usually I can). Grief beyond grief. Destruction on a mass scale. My gut was wrenched, literally. I was dizzy and nauseous, like being on a dock that moves too much.
It turned out that my lineage teachers (many who have taught me directly) live in Nepal. None died, fortunately. The monasteries and pilgrimage sites from as early 500 A.D. were destroyed.
    I still feel more consequences.

    Yes indeed. I sent an email to you about the symptoms I had experienced. They were among the worst I’ve ever experienced, and actually had me in the bed off and on for several days. I am able to distinguish between the Parkinson’s symptoms and the planetary symptoms. I had severe facial flushing with fever….something I’ve been able to determine is relative to volcanic eruptions, especially when it comes and goes;
a sensation of ‘smothering’….the mudslides; severe nausea and feeling as if I’m trying to walk on a rolling ship: earthquakes; and ceaseless weeping accompanied by an unidentified sense of utter sadness. My eyes burned and watered constantly: smoke. When the events manifest, the symptoms vanish. This is one of the ways I am able to distinguish them from Parkinson’s. They are similar in certain ways, yet very different. For me, the overwhelming sadness and crying is the worst, because when that is happening to me, I have the sense of massive death and loss. You’ll find this email somewhere recently in your inbox if it didn’t accidentally go to spam. So many Earth events happening simultaneously are almost unbearable for us, so I can imagine how the humans who are in the midst of them feel. It’s simply devastating.

Don’ remember having any symptoms before that quake, but I have had some (future) dreams about huge fire and floods. And I dreamed about the bombings in the subway in London the night before it happend. Glad I found your blog today, lots of interesting posts here. Thank you!

  7. Interesting subject – but nothing experienced personally.
