Apollo 13

Butternut Squash was doing homework with her son and ran across this amazing synchronicity  concerning Apollo 13. She says she must be the last person on the planet to hear about it, but we’d never heard it, either! It’s another one of those repeating number synchros. In this case, the #13.
**
On April 11, 1970, at 1:13 PM Houston time, Apollo 13 was launched. On the military time clock, it was 13:13. Two days later, on April 13, a fuel tank explosion took out all the power and oxygen. It appeared that fuel cells 1 and 3 were dead. The lunar module served as their life vessel and got them back to Earth.

When astronaut Lovell began the first post press conference, his first words were, “I am not a superstitous person…”

A bit of trivia about #13:
Among the Greeks, the bad luck day is Tuesday the thirteenth. I’ve yet to enter a building where the #13 is listed in the elevator. On most planes, you don’t find a thirteenth seat or a thirteenth row, at least not in planes where the  first twelve rows are first class. In some cultures, there’s a superstition that if thirteen people sit at a table for a meal, one of them will die in the next year. The fear of the number thirteen is
 called triskaidekaphobia.”

My brother received third degree burns on the back of his right hand and second degree burns on his face from playing with a flint used to light an acetyline welder one his 4th birthday. He was born Friday 13 June 1947. The day he was burned was also our sister's 1st birthday so there were two siblings born on June 13.

Natalie, interesting that the only way you could reflect on the point was to nullify it.Hard to be an observer without affecting what you're observing.

I just went to comment on this post, and there were thirteen comments listed! I thought i would click on and leave it, but thought it was more fun to mention it! πŸ™‚

  4. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

The most ambitious government contracts during the Bush years went out for no bids–charge whatever you want–especially with Haliburton, which was awarded billions of dollars to do business in Iraq. And a great deal of that public money was misused.

  5. terripatrick says:

For those that don't know the Apollo 13 story or not watched the movie, the message was –

What could have been the greatest disaster of the Apollo program — truly became the finest hour. But the power behind the story was the amazing dedication of the people involved.

And it was all before the day when government contracts went to the lowest bidder… LOL!

13 was/is my lucky number and usually the date of big events in my life. I have known the Apollo 13 number synchronicities for many years, as I bought the book for my husband, and even our daughters have watched the movie with Tom Hanks, many times. I recommend it.

From Linda Goodman's Star Signs, the chapter; "While the soul slumbers" # 13 = regeneration-change (which could be why it's considered unlucky because who really wants to regenerate or face change?) πŸ™‚

…"The ancients claimed that 'he who understands how to use the number 13 will be given power and dominion.' The symbol of 13 is a skeleton, or death, with a scythe…13 is a number of upheaval, so that new ground may be broken…Adapting to change gracefully will bring out the strength of the 13 vibration, and decrease any potential for negative…"

The suggestion is to study the related number #4 which resonates to Uranus and the #8 which resonates to Saturn.

Thanks for this post today. For me it was to get the message to revisit # 13 today. Maybe there will be something more awesome on 12/13 to post.

I remember working in a hotel in Reno while in high school. There was not a 13th floor where the elevators stopped. It had a 13th floor of course, but it was only accessed by the service elevators as it was used for storage only. So none of the guests ever had to stay on the 13th floor.

  8. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Oh, wait until tomorrow's post. Yikes!

  9. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

Gypsy – πŸ™‚ it fits perfectly!

  10. GYPSYWOMAN says:

oh, good grief!!! a typo – obviously, a "psychologically-oriented" ONE – i "meant" to say "right ON" – but, it fits, either way!

  11. GYPSYWOMAN says:

all the 13 stories aside – and the apollo ones were great, by the way – i think my favorite thing of this post is your comment that it's all "obviously psychological…rather like saying we're not really invading iraq…but…spreading democracy!" – OMGoodness, LOVE that!!! right one!!!

  12. simple s. says:

there "R" No lucky #'s, there are No unlucky 1's, what there is is MINDSET, isn't that what all "U" guys and gals are trying to communi "Kate" …..13 don't scare me….but geometery now there's a different story

  13. Trish and Rob MacGregor says:

We probably should've posted this on the 13th, Whip!

The numbering thing with floors and seats and aisles is obviously psychological. Rather like saying, We're not really invading Iraq. We're spreading democracy!

Esoterically, the number 13 represents someone who is reborn into a higher level of consciousness and has reached a state of transmutation.

  14. whipwarrior says:

I've never been a supersitious person. In fact, 13 has been my favorite number since I was a kid. I was attracted to it *because* of its unlucky reputation, just to prove that it was nothing to worry about. Once, I even requested print #13 of 30 from a limited edition drawing by an artist in the Indiana Jones web community. Lucky 13! πŸ™‚

  15. the walking man says:

Say you're in a 50 story building and the elevator has no 13th floor listed. The reasoning becomes in my mind uhhh call it 14 if you want but reality and mathematics still make 14 the 13th floor. So in common reality what are you in? A 50 story building or a 49 or 51 story structure? Or just a building where an architect can't count?

  16. Sansego says:

You should have saved this post for December 13th! πŸ™‚
