Catriona MacGregor is the author of a new book out this week called “Secrets of a Celtic Mystic: Sacred Earth Prophecy.” Her earlier book, “Partnering with Nature: The Wild Path to Reconnecting with the Earth,” won a gold medal from the Nautilus Book Awards, which recognizes world-changing books that promote positive social change.

In her books, Catriona explores the magic of nature and our precarious relationship with the “outdoors” from the perspective of a scientist, an environmental journalist, and a nature guide. She treats us to astonishing stories of how nature heals and shows us the path to “re-wilding,” a revolution in consciousness and a reckoning with the “feminine” values of compassion, intuition, and planetary survival.
Catriona has extensive experience in habitat management and species conservation and is leading a resilient forests initiative to apply innovative and bold solutions to forest & species management. She is a visionary bridge-builder between nature and humankind – and an intuitive mystic.

And on the subject of water, my mate in Tasmania Gordon White did a fascinating interview recently on You Tube with Veda Austin showing some of the amazing artwork she creates from and with water –

    Interesting conversation.
Reminds me of one of my favourite Australian/French movies ‘The Tree’ which was filmed not too far away from my hometown of Brisbane.
You can watch the movie trailer at its IMDB page –
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1496005/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
I don’t know if it’s available on any streaming platforms, but it is definatley worth a viewing.
“After the death of her father, an 8-year-old girl becomes convinced that he is whispering to her through the leaves of the gargantuan [fig] tree that towers over her house.”
I feel a little guilty, as I had a small fig/ficus tree removed a few weeks ago from my front yard because I was advised that the roots could get into my water pipes, which would cost me a fortune to dig up and repair.
Ironically, Wikipedia gives this piece advice from your American state of Florida about these particular trees as well –
“These trees are also considered a high risk to succumb to storm gale winds in hurricane-prone south Florida. As a consequence in many jurisdictions in South Florida no permit is required for removal of these trees. The South Florida Water District recommends removing these trees.”
