Esperanza Synchro

Ray sent this one. While he was sitting in a Starbucks reading Esperanza, a song with that title came on the radio. It’s sung by Enrique Iglesias. The video is cool.It suggests a theme that runs throughout the novel.

    Here is the English translation of the lyrics ;
    Hope

    Hope? where are you going
    hiding your look
    of sadness thrown away
    in the loneliness?

    Hope, Believe me
I did not want to harm you.
I beg for you to understand me
    if I failed you.

    Hope I assure you
that without you today, I have nothing,
that you'll be always the angel
    of my dreams.

I am here, you already see me,
    begging for your forgiveness.
    if I really failed you,
    that wasn't my intention.
    Blame me and bury me
in the pain of your chest, ( could be saying heart also)
    But don't ever leave me
    don't ignore me, please.

How hard it is to find out
    the emptiness in your look
where that fire use to burn
    Supernaturally

    Hidden (Hiding) in a corner
    with the world upside down
and that everything will be the fault
    of my stupidity.

I am here, you already see me,
    begging for your forgiveness.
    if I really failed you,
    that wasn't my intention.
    Blame me and bury me
in the pain of your chest,
    But don't ever leave me
    don't ignore me, please.

I am here, you already see me,
    begging for your forgiveness.
    if I really failed you,
    that wasn't my intention.
    Blame me and bury me
in the pain of your chest,
    But don't ever leave me
    don't ignore me, please.

The song is really nice. I'll look for the english translation of the lyrics.

  5. Nancy says:

This could be the theme song to the movie!

Wish I had understood it more – my spanish is ghastly.

ESPERANZA was a great read, and very timely, and IMO, based on certain undeniable truths. I do want to mention, a bit off-subject yet not, that it was good to briefly see Mira and Nadine and Shep and Tango Key coming into the picture again, even briefly! Haven't watched this video yet but will do so now. cj
