Solar Eclipse In LIbra

October is going to be an interesting month. It kicks off on Oct 2 with a solar eclipse in Libra. These eclipses are like double new moons, so double the new opportunities should surface in your life. Mercury is conjunct the eclipse, which pretty much guarantees a lot of communication flying back and forth.

Check my forecast for your sign for October.  But if you know your time of birth, go to cafe astrology’s free birth chart to find out how this solar eclipse impacts you.

Stay tuned for a post on the astro quirks of 2025!

Cedar Key

Cedar Key. I love this island.

We have spent a lot of time there for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings. At one point some years ago, we considered moving there. Tonight, Cat 4 Hurricane Helene, with winds of 140 mph,  pretty much devastated it. Several days ago, on Sept 19, 3 buildings on Dock Street burned down because of a kitchen fire in one restaurant.

If you watched any news tonight about Helene, you probably saw this street underwater.

We’ll know the extent of the devastation tomorrow. Sad. This island was old Florida, unique, quirky, true island living. No telllng what it will look like once Helene has moved on.

The Angel in Sharon’s Life

Friend Sharon Catley, whose synchro stories we’ve used in several books, wrote me about the podcast with Scott Guerin:

Hi Trish I recently enjoyed your presentation on angels and I do know that angels exist – I have met one and he is my brother. When Ed was alive he was he was known for his kindness and gentleness. He was so helpful and always put the needs of others before his own.

Just after he passed I experienced a stroke which took most of the eyesight in my left eye and adversely affected the sight in the right. During one of my routine eye checkups the doctor found the retina in my right eye was detaching and needed to be fixed right away. The doctor was very busy but told me to wait alone in his operating room and he would be in to perform the procedure shortly. I have very sensitive eyes and the thought of putting needles and lasers in them was freaking me right out. Then I remembered my brother (who had diabetes) had to have blood removed from behind his eyes by needle several times. He never complained about having to go through this. I chastised myself for being such a big baby and tried to be brave.

All of a sudden Ed was standing behind the chair I was sitting on. Then two huge white wings wrapped themselves around me in a hug and I heard his voice say “Don’t worry. Everything will be fine”. He was gone as quickly as he had come. I started to cry from this experience Happy to have had a visit from my brother. When the doctor came in he thought I was crying because I was afraid. How was I to tell him I just saw my brother and he was now an angel? The operation went quickly and smoothly just like Ed had said. I did not see him again until a few years later.

I was having heart issues and was staying overnight in the Emergency department of the hospital for observation. Sometime in the night the police brought in some criminals for medical care. They didn’t want to be arrested and they were yelling and attacking nurses, security and the police. I had woken up to the sounds of the scuffling, violence, police radios and alarms. It was quite scary and I was frightened for myself, the other patients, the hospital staff and the police. There was a small slit between the two curtains separating me from the rest of the department. Through the slit I could see something white and about the height of a person through it.

Then I heard Ed’s voice “don’t worry. Go back to sleep I will keep you safe” and this time he stayed until I fell back asleep. I have not seen my brother since then, however we did find a white feather on the floor of the room his wife slept in the last time she visited us. I have a sense that God makes use of him like one of those greeters you see at the front of department stores. “Hello. My name is Ed. Welcome to heaven. How may I help you”. However while writing this out I had a thought. What if the angel was not my brother but came to me in his form so I would not be afraid and be comforted? I have no clue. Make of my experience what you will. Thanks for reading. Sharon

The Alien Jigsaw

This post is from 2011 and I ran across it recently and decided to repost it. We included it in our book Aliens in the Backyard: UFOs, Abductions & Synchronicity.

++

We recently came across a long, but interesting article on the Internet by UFO author Budd Hopkins. It’s called Deconstructing the Debunkers: A Response. It appeared on a web site called The Alien Jigsaw: True Experiences of Alien Abductions. The article reminded us of the time we spent with Hopkins many years ago.

It was the early 1980s when we were writing for OMNI Magazine’s red pages about UFOs, hauntings and other paranormal activities. We were assigned to a UFO conference in Hollywood, Florida where Hopkins, was one of the speakers. We’d read his book, Intruders, so when we had an opportunity to go along with him on a UFO investigation involving hypnotic regression, we jumped at the chance.

Budd hadn’t rented a car so we drove him up the coast to meet a family with a dramatic story of repeated abductions, involving a woman and her young son. Hopkins hypnotized the mother, Carrie, and she told of being floated out of her bed down the hall and right through the wall to an illuminated ‘tube’ that lifted her and her abductees up to a waiting vessel.

Carrie remembered nothing about what happened to her when she was taken into the vessel, but she did recall details about the trip up the tube. Their house was located less than a mile away from the headquarters of the grocery store tabloid, National Enquirer, which during those years published UFO stories. Each Christmas season the Enquirer would put up a huge Christmas tree, a dazzling display of lights and  kiddie rides. It was a popular attraction. The tree was fully lit and visible during the abduction and Carrie recalled looking down, and pointing it out to the aliens. Hopkins matter-of-factly asked how they reacted, and Carrie, speaking in a hypnotic monotone in the present tense, said, “They aren’t impressed.”

Carrie’s husband, D, was also present, and he was a presence – to say the least. While Carrie and her son were gentle and sweet, her husband was imposing.  He was a big man, older than Carrie, with a mane of silver-gray hair. D wore black clothes, and a gold necklace bearing a thumb-sized gold devil pendant. He said he was a former Baptist minister, who told us that he had ‘changed sides.’

Yeah, that was weird. Trish and I were exchanging glances, wondering what was up with that dude, but Budd seemed to ignore him, as if he didn’t figure into the scenario, and just focused on the wife’s experiences. Budd was staying overnight with the family and when we left, we were glad we weren’t staying there.

In the aftermath, we asked for a follow-up interview and invited the couple to our Fort Lauderdale townhouse. We should have guessed that doing so would attract more high strangeness. Since we didn’t particularly want to be alone with them, we invited a few friends, ones we knew from other stories we’d done for OMNI and other magazines. So it was an eclectic group and among them were a few talented psychics. Carrie and her husband arrived early and again D wore black with his satanist logo visible. Everyone stayed late and seemed to be enjoying themselves, except for D. The ex-minister/satanist seemed out of his element, wary of everyone, and remained stoically silent for the most part. He never moved from one place the entire night.

It was around 1 a.m. and we were talking about MIBs – men in black – when the unexpected happened.

I glanced over at the sliding glass doors, which led from the living room to a small porch and the parking lot. Someone was standing on the porch staring in at us.  By the time I alerted the others, the man had moved away. I hurried to the doors, threw them open,  and could hardly believe what I saw. Instead of simply disappearing into the darkness beyond the parking lot, the man was making a scene of his escape. He crouched low, and moved from car to car, and kept looking back at us. He was hiding in full view.

Trish called the police, and the response was astonishing. Within a few minutes, eight or nine patrol cars arrived, some with dogs. The police spread out and searched the complex. We were baffled…until we found out that a man had been murdered an hour earlier, less than a mile away. As far as we know, they never found the man we reported, and we don’t know if he had anything to do with the murder. But it was a strange ending for an unusual evening, and hey, we never saw that couple again!

Trump Fatigue

Is anyone else feeling this?

I’m so tired of news about this guy. I’m tired of his same old rhetoric, his doom and gloom vision, his scowling orange face, his BS conspiracy theories.

I’m tired of his whining voice, of seeing excerpts from his stupid truth social site, of hearing his brainwashed allies defending his rhetoric, his lies, his superior intellect (gag!).

Trump is a 78-year-old has been, a loser who still can’t accept the fact that he lost the 2020 election, a convicted felon & a grifter who comes up with one new  absurdity after another to try to sell to his brainwashed followers. The gold sneakers, trading cards, bitcoins. What next. donald?

My trump fatigue has gotten so extreme that I keep wishing aliens would zip down here, abduct him and take him – well, anywhere but earth. Just shut him up.

My hope is that when he loses, he ends up in an orange jumpsuit that matches the color of his silly hair and scowling face. My hope is that he disappears from the media forever. Flee, donald. Venezuela, Dubai, North Korea, Hungary, Russia. But maybe even your dictator buddies don’t want you.

Take a good look at the photo above. That’s what another four years of trump will do this country.

Election Prediction by Danish Astrologer Adrian Duncan

At this point in the election season,I’ve been looking for solace – i.e., confirmation that Harris/Walz will win in November. So I asked Danish astrologer Adrian Duncan that very question.

Adrian lives on an island off the coast of Denmark. We had him on our podcast in 2020, shortly after we started the podcast and before the election that year. He predicted  a Biden win then and was absolutely correct. But he also said that trump would pretty much disappear – his name removed from buildings etc. Well, Trump didn’t disappear but according to Forbes, his name was removed from some buildings.

So I emailed Adrian and asked if Harris would win. Here is his response:

Hi Trish.

Of course she’ll win. As I recall she has some really nice aspects for the election, and there are a lot of other factors that suggest a new president (not an old one).

I forgot this but I wrote an article in December 2020 which said:
” It is worth taking a look at Kamala Harris’ horoscope to see if there are any indications that she will assume power. She has a great horoscope for governance with a full moon constellating harmoniously with Saturn in Aquarius, so competence, cooperation and leadership come naturally to her. Her Sun progressed went to conjoin her Descendant and South Node when she became vice-president. In itself this was quite a good clue to the Democrats winning the election. What is interesting is that her progressed Mercury is retrograde and it conjoins the Sun three years into Biden’s presidency. Also at this time Kamala’s progressed Sun is trine her natal Moon. Either she takes over here, or she is appointed to be the Democratic candidate in 2024. At the November 2024 election her Sun progressed is exactly sextile Saturn.

Here’s the thing. Between November election and the January 2025 Inauguration, Pluto moves out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, which means the Inauguration horoscope has the Sun conjoining Pluto within one degree. This could mean a Black president. (When Obama was president, transit Pluto conjoined USA’s Venus, then Jupiter, then the Sun.) It’s a long shot, but it’s a possibility. The election chart has a Moon-Venus conjunction in Sagittarius, so a woman with foreign roots may well be one of the candidates.”

YOUR GUIDE TO THE FUTURE

The other astrologer I have asked about this election is Alex Miller, whose specialty is asteroids. He also correctly predicted the Biden win in 2020. Both of these astrologers do what I can’t when it comes to trump and the election – they can be objective. So many times I have brought up trump’s chart and just stared at it, seeing only his orange, scowling expression and hearing his blithering idiocy in my head.

I felt such a surge of hope when Adrian replied. I hope other people do, too. Check out the links for both of these extraordinary astrologers.

Preston Dennett And Dolly Safran: NOT FROM HERE

Join Trish and Rob for a conversation with…

Preston Dennett is one of the best-known UFO investigators and undoubtedly the most prolific author of books on the subject. He has written at least 29 books—but I might be behind on the count—and more than 100 articles about UFOs and the paranormal. He is a frequent guest on radio and TV and speaks to audiences across the United States. His most recent book, NOT FROM HERE: Volume 5, is his most recent.

Also with us today is Dolly Safran, who has had life-long experiences with extraterrestrials that began around the age of two and are ongoing. She has an astonishing story that she told Preston for his book, SYMMETRY: A True UFO Adventure, about her varied experiences among the Grays. What makes Dolly’s story particularly interesting is that she has had total recall of her experiences without the aid of hypnotic regression, even the ones that were blocked during her younger years. Besides that, while many abductees have fearful experiences, Dolly considers the Grays more like family than frightful aliens and doesn’t consider herself an abductee.

Ah, Beo

Beo is the cat in the middle. Binx, Meg’s cat, is to his left, Nala is to his right.

Here, Beo is the cat closest to the water bowl. Nala is the other cat.

I’ve written about Beo before. My sister adopted him and his two feral brothers some years ago and when she married her third husband, Neal, the three of the lived in her massive basement. Neal is allergic to cats. During Covid, she asked me to adopt one of them so I drove up to Marietta. Beo was the only one of the three who came out to say hi when I went into her cellar, so Beo was my choice.

A few weeks later, Mary drove him to Orlando, where I met her at Megan’s place, and the next day, I drove him to South Florida. He meowed during the entire three-hour drive and spent the next 10 days under the bed. When he finally emerged, he realized he could go outside and suddenly, he was living his best life.

Since 2020, when he came to lived with us, he has been the most vocal cat I’ve ever owned. Also one of the most affectionate. He gives head butts to any other animal in the house, cats, dogs, that head bump says, Hey, let’s be friends. Even humans got head bumps, particularly when he was high on catnip.

Three or four months ago, he suffered congestive heart failure. A cardiac vet saw him and put him on diuretics and a blood thinner. Daily meds. He started avoiding me because I gave him the meds, 3 liquid diuretics that were chicken flavored, and the blood thinner as a pill. But he appeared to be flourishing. When we went out to Washington state to see Megan in early September, our friend Liz came in to feed the cats and give Beo his meds. The vet had warned me that even with the meds, the heart condition might kill him.

We got in late on September 11/12 and when I walked into the bedroom, I found his body. It was still warm. The shock of finding a beloved pet like this, dead, triggers so many emotions. I started sobbing and picked him and carried him into the family room, shouting for Rob. Nala and Binx seemed acutely aware of what had happened. Both were skittish, then affectionate. I wrapped him in a towel and the next day, we buried him in a box in a corner of our yard where he often hung out.

When we picked up Nigel the next morning from a friend’s house, he seemed to sense Beo’s absence almost immediately. He especially noticed it when he was outside in the evening, where Beo and the cats enjoyed hanging out.

RIP, Beo. You are deeply loved and I hope you return to us!
