It’s the height of football season – not that Trish cares – but Rob pays attention to some degree and spotted a good synchro in the mix this year.

First, I should say that I grew up in Minneapolis as a Vikings fan. Last year, the Vikings quarterback was Sam Arnold, who won 14 of the 17 games. He came in as a so-so back quarterback to replace the  rookie J.J. McCarthy, who was injured in the first game and was seen – and still is – as  the team’s #1 quarterback. But then Sam went on to win 14 of 17 games and no longer looked like a  back-up. However, he lost the last game of the season to the Detroit Lion, then lost the first playoff game. So the team unceremoniously dumped him. Bye-bye, Sam.

Along came the Seattle Seahawk, who picked up Darnold, and gave him a 3-year contract. So this season he did it again. He won 14 of 17 games. Two years in a row, and the Seahawks are the #1 ranked team in the NFC playoffs, which gives them a value week off before entering the playoffs.

I’ve listened to the sports commentators waiting for at least one of them to notice the obvious synchronicity. So far, I haven’t heard any of them  mention that Sam Darnold won 14 games in ’24, 14 games in ’25, and…guess what, his jersey # is 14.

And the number 14 adds up to 5- the number of freedom!

The Mystical Underground ‘s Riveting Conversation with Ken Elliot

The conversation dives into health and “miracles,” including cases where glaucoma, officially labeled “not curable” on mainstream medical sites, simply disappeared after people created clear inner “movies” of a future where the condition was no longer a problem. Ken also talks about near-impossible misses in car accidents, why there’s “no time” in the non-physical and what that means for future creation, and how communities and belief systems on the other side can mirror what people cling to here.

Ken breaks down his simple framework: 1: Make a vivid movie of your desired future, without over-specifying every detail so the energy can find the most efficient path to you. 2: Take real-world action on your fears so they don’t tangle up your intentions “like a spider web” over your manifestations. 3: Recognize that you actually don’t need “step three” because you already are the power—far larger and more loving on the other side than you can imagine here.

2026- Yikes!

2026! Coming right up!

What are your hopes? Dreams?

The beginning of 2025 brought us the beginning of the trump admin horrors. ICE. Immigrants being snatched off the streets and sent to places like El Salvatore, Alligator Alcatraz, & other hellholes. The cancellation of cancer research, the cutting off of health care for millions of Americans, the cost of living surging, the bombing of Venezuelan boats. & then there’s the Epstein files.

In just a year, Trump has exposed the weaknesses in the constitution, surrounded himself with sycophants who just bow or ignore his insanity, and has revealed just how corrupt the conservative supreme court is. Billionaires come to him with gifts, he tears down the East wing of the White House, threatens to pull the licenses of broadcasting channels that criticize him, gets comedians fired…. And put his name on the Kennedy Center…

Then there is RFK, the secretary of health and human services, a total scam job. He’s not a physician, has no medical background, and is an avid anti-vaxxer and conspiracy nut. He has canceled childhood vaccines, disbanded the CDC and basically pushes snake oil for everything. As a physician I know said, “It’s tragic that Americans can no longer trust anything the CDC says.”

Then there’s Kash Patel, Kristi Noem the dog killer, and JD Vance, and…well, every  list is LONG.

So, my hope for 2026? That the trump nightmare ends. Orange man disappears – impeachment, incarceration, incapacity, death or, better yet, the aliens whisk him away to Pluto. But as one friend quipped, “The aliens and Pluto don’t want him.”

The problem is that even when trump is gone, the damage he has wreaked in this country and abroad may take decades to heal if it heals at all. Worldwide, there seems to be a hunger for authoritarian rule. But what’s the appeal? Do this many people on the planet need a strong daddy figure? & if that’s the case, how can trump or Putin or any of the despots trump allegedly admires be construed as strong?

First and foremost, these guys are bullies, no different than the proverbial kid on the playground who threw a tantrum when you made more baskets then he did. They are mysogynists, racists, sexists of the worst kind, and they see the world as theirs to conquer and control. If you aren’t white, male and straight, you are nothing in their eyes.

Obviously, I could go on and on. But to those of you who voted for trump, especially if you’re a woman, I hope that after a year of his destruction, his inhumanity and cruelty, you see through orange man’s facade. He’s a terrible baby, a dangerous kid, vengeful, insidious.

The concepts of democracy are powerful ideals and they work best through WE THE PEOPLE…not through I AM KING or I AM THE BOSS OF YOU WHO INSISTS YOU DO WHAT I SAY OR ELSE…

So my greatest hope for 2026 is that these protests against this orange monster increase by the millions and that WE THE PEOPLE reclaim our country, our democracy where all men – and women! – really are created equal.

A Date to Watch for

Whenever the outer planets like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto change signs, it’s a big deal because it means the energy of the planet in a particular sign will be around for awhile.

Uranus takes 7 years to transit a sign and 84 to go through the entire zodiac. Neptune takes 13-14 years to transit one sign and takes 165 years to get through the zodiac. Pluto is the real snail, however. It remains in a single sign from 11 to 32 years. It was in Capricorn for 24 years from 2008 to 2023 when it slipped briefly into Aquarius from March 23- June 11. It entered Aquarius for good on January 2025 & will be there until March 8, 2043.

On January 26, Neptune enters Aries and on February 13, Saturn follows. Just seven days later, on Feb 20, these two planets are conjunct at 00 degrees Aries, 45 minutes. This is BIG. Aries is  the first sign of the zodiac and 00 degrees is the beginning of degrees. The last time this happened was on  March 27, 1703.

Saturn governs structures, physical reality, authority. Neptune  governs the paranormal, the higher mind, the esoteric, intuition. Saturn builds, Neptune dissolves. Aries is a fire sign,headstrong, a leader.

I’m not a history buff, so I did some Googling to find out what was going on in 1703. One of the major events was the great storm of 1703 described in a terrific substack article:

…the Great Storm of 1703, which killed thousands of people, sank scores of ships, blew over homes and windmills and took the roof off Westminster Abbey. In Daniel Defoe’s book The Storm (1704), often considered the first work of modern journalism, Defoe wrote of winds so strong that many people thought they were accompanied by an earthquake.

In 1703, the most significant event was Peter the Great founding St. Petersburg,  establishing Russia’s new capital on the Baltic Sea, marking its emergence as a European power amidst the ongoing Great Northern War. Other major events included the devastating Great Storm of 1703 in England, the start of Rákóczi’s War of Independence in Hungary, the Edirne Incident in the Ottoman Empire, and the signing of the Methuen Treaty between England and Portugal. 

Regardless of which source you check, the early part of the 18th century was chaos, a warrior’s dream. Perhaps trump will start a war with someone – Venezuela? He wants their oil – or some other country that has resources he would like to have.

One thing seems fairly certain, since it has started already – he’ll continue to dissolve democracy & everyone except his billionaire buddies will pay the price. Several things are obvious already: he has revealed where the US constitution is weakest. We need an amendment that bars a convicted felon from running for the presidency – and that’s just for starters.

So mark Feb 20 on your calendars.

Murder of a Legend – and trump’s reaction

With the horrendous murder of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle by their 32-year-old son, Nick, trump demonstrated how vile a human being he is.

Instead of issuing a presidential statement of condolence, he wrote in a social media post that Reiner’s death was “reportedly due to the  anger he caused by others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction … known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

Trump called Reiner “a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star.”

No matter what it is, what occurs, trump turns it all into an incident about himself. But more than that, his comments about  Reiner reveals the depth of his depravity, his dementia, cruelty and complete lack of that essential core of humanity.

I’ve used this image before, but it certainly fits now – and has fit in the  past and will fit in the future. He is the collective evil of humanity rolled into a single soul.

The Mystical Underground: The Good Sister

Alexa Blye is a California native, a Baby Boomer, and a family therapist living in Southern California with her Goldendoodle Penelope. Growing up, she was influenced by the social unrest and changes of the Sixties and has been a social justice advocate beginning when she was in middle school, then high school and college. Alexa went on to become a family therapist and ten years ago began specializing in working with survivors of narcissistic families – where one member— sometimes a parent, other times a sibling, still other times a spouse, suffers from narcissistic behaviors. The reality-bending gaslighting, manipulations, and isolation leave family members suffering from complex post-traumatic stress – often knowing something isn’t right, but they can’t put their finger on just what it is…after time, some members succumb to chronic self-doubt and must find themselves again. Though semi-retired, with a private practice in Southern California, Alexa continues to commit herself to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
