Trickster billboards

It looks like the trickster had a hand in designing these ads….

That last one reminded me of an incident a couple of years ago when I was walking past a similar sign and moments later a model plane nose-dived into the ground a few feet behind me. – R

Inside the Planetary Empaths

Here’s an inner look at planetary empaths from Marcus Anthony, the Australian author, futurist and intuitive analyst. Marcus is residing in China with his wife, a Chinese national. Unfortunately, the Chinese government is blocking access to Word Press and Blogger, so Marcus is unable to comment here. We’ll e-mail comment to him, though.

***

“I have received more information about planetary empaths. It started coming through last night. Feel free to use any of this information if you want, in your article, blog or elsewhere. This information was received from spiritual guidance. I asked a few questions, and this is what I got.”

What is the function of being a planetary empath?

Empaths help release emotional energy which is contained within the collective psyche of humanity. In a sense they are a release valve.

(I saw an image of the earth with volcanoes in many places. The volcanoes release heat from the earth.)

Is there anything negative about being a planetary empathy? Is there some issue that these people need to resolve or transcend?

At some level these people choose to process this energy. It is important that they understand that there is a choice here, even though the mechanism for the choice may be unconscious. There are actually other ways which the energy can be released from the human consciousness system, so in a sense the empaths are not strictly necessary. At a personal level, empaths may be harboring unconscious soul issues which “invite” the negative emotionality to channel through them. This may be to do with personal guilt and shame, or false belief structures. Commonly there may be a belief in the idea of redemption, that one can atone for ones negative acts through taking on the negativity of others. Again this is not strictly necessary. It is a misunderstanding which requires transcendence in the long term. Empaths may also have an ego attachment to the entire process of saving others. Further, at some level they may identify with their role as a channel for pain and suffering. A belief in self-sacrifice is another common issue for empaths. These issues reflect common themes in human consciousness evolution at this time.

In short, empaths help to release trapped energy from the human collective. Yet in another sense it is simply a phase in the consciousness evolution of the planet.

Can planetary empaths do anything to help release the energy they are processing more efficiently?

Yes. The empaths can give the energy to the creator, by imaging the compassionate and loving light source of all consciousness, and give the the emotionality of the event to that source. Secondly, the empaths can seek to address what their particular role is in the entire process. As stated, there will be some particular soul issues which they are unconscious of. Bringing these to awareness and “acknowledging” them to the Cosmic Source will help to transcend the issue. In prayer, the empaths can ask what it is that is inviting the energy, and reflect upon it. They may also ask for specific ways to move beyond the problem.  This entire process may take some time however, as the awareness may require deepening.

What is the lesson in this entire phenomenon?

There is a greater love and purpose at the heart of the cosmos than individual human beings may be aware of. The ignorance of this creates a sense of anger and blame and suffering, often projected at the world, cosmos or God. These are issues of abandonment, betrayal and alienation. Both those directly experiencing the trauma of personal loss, such as with natural disasters or personal tragedy, and the empaths who are tapping into that emotionality, may unconsciously exacerbate the pain and suffering involved because of the disconnection from the Source. Yet, in the bigger picture, the suffering may be a means by which human beings seek to address the deeper causes for that suffering, and then to bridge the gap between individual human consciousness, and divine love.

Marcus wanted to clear up one point. The volcanoes he saw in the reading were symbolic, related to the empaths and the related energy, but not an impression of any particular upcoming event.

Tornadoes, Planetary Empaths, and the GCP Dot

There’s something so  frightening about this video that I cringed when I watched it. I cringed even worse when I read about the devastation these tornadoes caused.

“These were the most intense super-cell thunderstorms that I think anybody who was out there forecasting has ever seen,” said meteorologist Greg Carbin at the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla. “If you experienced a direct hit from one of these, you’d have to be in a reinforced room, storm shelter or underground” to survive, Carbin said.

Not surpisingly, there was a point before these storms hit when the Global Consciousness Project dot on the blog glowed blood red. But when that happens, it’s difficult to figure out why – until after the fact.  At around the same time we noticed the glowing red dot, math addict put up a comment under Two Odd Videos (April 27, 12:04 p.m.) describing the planetary empath symptoms she was experiencing.  Then, yesterday morning, she sent this email:

“THIS is what my planetary empath symptoms yesterday were pre-empting. I was raised in Montgomery; cheered at many football games in Tuscaloosa; our family had many friends there. I have no doubt people that I knew then are among the dead.” This comment made me realize that planetary empath symptoms sometimes are caused by a person’s deeply personal connections to the location of a disaster, man-made or natural.

Math commented that the scenes of devastation were like something out of Day After Tomorrow, the movie based on The Coming Global Superstorm by Whitley Strieber and Art Bell. If you click the Strieber link, there’s a terrific article on the tornadoes – the worst in 50 years.

Now the south is bracing for a flood, the worst since the Mississippi River Flood of 1927. The levees are about to be tested.

So are the ferocity of these storms a precursor to what 2012 may actually be about? Are planetary empaths some sort of human interface of the Global Consciousness Project? Both are able to “predict” disasters – empaths through their physical symptoms, the GCP through a deviance of the norm in the random number generators. Some empaths, as we’ve discussed before, can pinpoint the kind of disaster. But so far, the empaths and the  have been able to predict location. Then again, the GCP can’t pinpoint location, either.

If you  have experienced physical symptoms or vivid dreams prior to a natural or man-made disaster, please leave us a comment. This   post lists the most common symptoms, but the list is by no means exhaustive.Your experience helps the rest of us understand how this peculiar ability may be evolving.

Tomorrow look for a very interesting post here from Marcus Anthony, an intuitive analyst and futurist, who has done a reading for us on the phenomenon of planetary empaths. What he has to say is quite startling.

Here’s the power of just one of these tornadoes:

The Synchronicity of Trump

While watching Donald Trump on the news the other night, it occurred to me that “trump” has two very different meanings.

As a noun, it’s often used as any playing card in a suit that outranks the other suits at the time the cards are being played.  You can argue, I suppose, that Donald Trump is a trump card in the business world – a wealthy businessman whose imprint his all over the place – Trump Towers, Mar del Lago, and, of course, he’s the star of The Apprentice, for which he’s supposedly paid $3 million an episode.

Then there’s the other definition of trump, as in trump up. When used like this, as a verb, it means to devise deceitfully, to fabricate, to lie. For the past several weeks, Trump the guy who has a bad hair day every day, has been on every talk show trumping up charges against Obama – that he wasn’t born in the U.S., that he isn’t an American citizen, and why doesn’t he show his birth certificate and put the whole issue to reset?

What I find so interesting about this spectacle is that John McCain, white  man born in Panama, was never asked to show his birth certificate, to prove his citizenship. So, there seems to be two sets of rules here – one for an African-American, another for a Caucasian.

Well, today, April 27, Trump was trumped: Obama released his birth certificate – the long form, the form that states “certification of live birth.” His attorney flew to Hawaii to get it – not a taxpayer funded trip, but paid for from Obama’s personal funds.

In 2008, the document that was released was a “certificate” that clearly indicated Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in the Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu. Never mind that it’s a legal document and is what anyone born in Hawaii receives when requesting birth documents. For the birthers, the certificate wasn’t proof and with windbag Trump taking up their cause, the White House apparently decided to put the issue to rest .

Trump,  realizing he had been trumped by Obama, immediately held a press conference and took credit for getting the administration to release the birth certificate. He then appointed himself judge and jury. “We have to examine it to make sure it’s valid, but we hope it is so we can move on to the real important issues.”  Really? Important issues? Like what?

Well, Trump then continued to one of the important issues: Obama has no past and how can a man  with no past have gotten into Columbia and then into Harvard? Translated: How did this black man get into those schools? As Chris Matthews commented on Hard Ball, Trump seemed to be comparing Obama to Don Draper, the secretive  protagonist of Mad Men.

So, let’s see. Trump wants Obama’s college and law school transcripts.  What’s next? His marriage certificate? Michelle’s birth certificate? Birth certificates for his daughters?  The real issue here for Trump is: How did that black guy get into a better college than I did? How did this black guy get into the most prestigious law school in the country? How did that black guy write his own books?

Trump the Chump has given a megaphone to the blatant racism of the birthers. And who, exactly, would vote for this loser? And why would NBC renew this guy’s contract?

Two Odd Videos

The first video went up originally in 2008, but according to Strieber’s site, has been removed and put back up again several times. The interesting footage is around 1:26 the way in and again at 4:25.  It looks like some sort of inter-dimensional phenomenon, but hey, who knows? It could be a photo shop deal, too. Nonetheless…here’s the first.

Then here’s the second, a supposed missile launched at a UFO over Japan.

Synchro from the Other Side

We’re not sure how we met Mike Clelland. But we used one of his synchros in 7 Secrets and he definitely has a thing about owls, an animal messenger we’ve written about several times. So the owl image here seems appropriate. Owls are often viewed as messengers between the world of the living and the dead.

We share many of Mike’s interests. When he sent the following synchro, we  knew it would be a good one. He calls it “synchro from the other side,” an apt title, for sure.

+++

My friend Mac Tonnies died at only 34 years old in October of 2009. He was a prolific writer and had been working on a book at the time of his death.

It the weeks that followed, there was a lot of talk about the status of his final book. The story came out that there was a printed copy of the manuscript found on his desk. This document had final edits in Mac’s handwriting in the margins.

During my correspondence with Mac throughout 2009, I made it clear that I was eager to do a few illustrations for his book. Mac seemed delighted by my offer. I’ll add that he had been super supportive of my artwork since I started posting some of my drawings on-line. He would consistently comment on the cartoons, and I deeply appreciated his observant compliments.

I contacted Mac’s publisher to ask about the illustrations, it seemed that Mac had mentioned me and my offer to draw for the book, and I set about doing some initial sketches. Having a small role in Mac’s book was a profound honor, and I took the responsibility seriously.
On December first 2009, I got the text of Mac’s CRYPTOTERRASTRIALS book sent to me in a word document. I took it to the local copy shop, and they printed it up for me. I punched holes in the paper and put it in a 3-ring binder. At first I was a little intimidated to read it. There was something sacred, or maybe daunting about it.

A few days later I realized I needed to sit down and start reading.

I went through a sort of formal process. I made a cup of tea, got my reading glasses, turned the lamp on and sat on the couch. The binder was on the coffee table facing me. I opened the binder, turned to the very first page and just as I began looking at the opening words – I head a loud “click” from right next to me.

I looked over and my CD player had spontaneously ejected the cassette. It had done this all by itself.

That CD player is well over a decade old, and in all those years this has never happened. It seemed extremely odd. And I’m not kidding, it happened at the EXACT second that I read the very first words.

+++

Mike adds that Mac was “ever the futurist, and this machine near my couch (the CD player) worked by using a laser beam. This was so perfect. Our last email was about a set of essays we had written at the same time in 2006. He wrote about playing with his cat using a laser pointer, and I had written about playing with my cat using a string. We both made the analogy of the UFO phenomenon and how it interacts with us. “

Here are additional links that add depth to this story.

The Ghost of the Royal Caribbean

This evening I went next door to ask our neighbors – the identical twins – if they could watch Noah and feed our cats for two nights while we’re out of town. I mentioned that we had gotten the cover for the new synchro book about afterlife communication and suddenly, the twins were telling me one of the best ghost stories I’ve heard in years.  While they were relating the story, I was taking mental notes, then got home and started telling Rob about it and realized I needed more details. So I called next door and Annette answered the phone and I plied her for more details.

It happened, Annette said, about five years ago. She and Janette were on a Royal Caribbean cruise – five nights – and had a cabin on the fourth level deck. “As soon as we opened the door to the cabin, Janette said she felt we weren’t alone, that there was a presence. Janette thought it was male.”

They didn’t think any more about it at the time and went about their business, doing whatever it is people do on these cruises – eat and drink, dance and socialize. The twins have been taking these cruises every summer, around their birthdays, and always pack to the hilt – fancy clothes, multiples pairs of shoes, jewelry, the whole nine yards. On this cruise, they had spread their jewelry out on the top of the dressers – necklaces, matching earrings. So that first night, after they had turned in, Janette suddenly heard a swooshing sound. “It was like someone was sweeping their hands through the jewelry and the necklaces and earrings were falling through the person’s fingers,” Janette said.

She immediately turned on the light and sat up. The jewelry was undisturbed, just where she and Annette had left it. She was a bit freaked out, but turned off the light again and lay back. She heard the noise again, turned on the light once more, but the jewelry was undisturbed. Annette also heard the noise.

“We only heard that sound in the dark,” Annette said. “We both heard it. We both identified it as the same thing, hands sweeping through the jewelry.”

Later that night, Janette was sound asleep when she suddenly felt something grab her ankle – where she recently had been tattooed – and was jerked to the floor. “Annette, what the hell are you doing?” she shouted angrily.

Annette turned on the light and saw her sister on  the floor. She swore she hadn’t grabbed Janette by the ankle.

The next morning, Janette went to the captain, told him their cabin was haunted, and that she and her sister wanted to different cabin. “You should’ve seen the way he looked at me,” Janette said.  “Like I was a total nutcase.” The captain told them to check with the cabin attendant about finding another cabin, so Janette went to him and told him what had happened.

“He sort of laughed and said the ghost was a blonde woman who had died in our cabin of a heart attack. He said she roams the fourth level deck and has been seen by other people who have stayed in our cabin.  And oh, he added, there were no other cabins available, so we would just have to stick it out.”

Janette says she was the blonder of the twins at the time and felt certain that was why the female ghost, who was blonde, had picked on her. But Annette has a different take. “I’m the alpha twin, stronger and more stable. I’ve been the caretaker all my life. That’s why the ghost didn’t mess with me.”

On their third night in the cabin, while Janette and Annette were asleep, Janette woke suddenly, certain she was suffocating. “I couldn’t breathe, something was pressed over my face, and I panicked.” She bolted upright, hurled off whatever was on her face, groped for the light. Next to her bed on the floor was a pile of towels that hadn’t been there earlier.

“It  was a stack of towels like what they leave at the foot of your bed after your room has been cleaned,” Annette explained.

“And it had been pressed down over my face,” Janette went on.

“So what’d you do?” I asked.

Annette says she brought out her new testament, flipped it open – and the pages fluttered and the book shut. On its own. So Annette opened it again, to Ethesians, 6:10-6:18, and put a shoe on either side of the book so the ghost couldn’t shut the book again.

The Ethesians passage, Annette says, is about “the armor of God.” Then she recited it.

Out of curiosity, I looked it up on Google. That passage reads:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

After Annette read the passage aloud, the twins pushed their beds together and they slept undisturbed that night and the last night of their trip.

This story led to the type of discussion I try to avoid about God, the universe and everything. But some statements are so personally offensive that to say nothing implies tacit agreement.

Annette: There are demons,  Trish, who fell out of heaven when Satan became jealous of God. If you don’t believe in Christ as your personal savior, then you’re headed for hell. The world is going to end and then God will create paradise on earth.”

Me: I can’t buy into the Satan/demon thing, Annette. I can’t buy into the angry God thing, either. Heaven and hell, satan and demons: it’s too simplistic.

Annette: I’ll be praying for you , girl. Because you’re wrong.

Me: Suppose you’re wrong?

Annette: I’m not wrong. I’ve been touched by the holy spirit. And if I’m wrong, at least I’ll be going to heaven.

Me: And others have different names for those kinds of experiences. And I don’t believe in hell.

And so it went, one of those looped conversations, no one giving an inch. I reminded Annette that after the earthquake in Haiti, she or someone else in the room had said that the quake happened because the Haitians practiced voodoo. To me, that’s the epitome of religious hubris. Why would God do that to a country that is the poorest in the western hemisphere? What kind of God is that?

I finally went home and wondered how to write this up. In the end, I think it boils down to beliefs. Annette believes so deeply in the bible, in its literal translation, her  belief was powerful enough to keep the female ghost away from herself and her sister.

Janette seems less convinced of the religious stuff, is more intuitively receptive to alternate explanations. It’s not about who is the alpha twin; if anything, the law of attraction seems to be dominant.  Which brings  around another loop: in search a good ghost story, why did I attract what essentially became a discussion about religion?

And what about the spirit of that poor woman on the fourth level floor of the Royal Caribbean? Is she doomed to forever wander through that strange netherworld?

Dyeing the Pagan Roots of Easter

Oops, our pagan roots are showing today. Even though Christianity has done its best to dye those roots and purify this day as its own, it’s worth looking back and putting it all in perspective.

From the Easter bunny and Easter eggs to the resurrection, it was all happening way before Christianity stamped its mark on the pagan spring celebration. Those bunnies are a leftover from the pagan festival of Eostre, a great northern goddess whose symbol was a rabbit or hare. Exchange of eggs is an ancient custom, celebrated by many cultures. The Sumerian goddess Ishtar was hung naked on a stake, and was subsequently resurrected and ascended from the underworld.

Here’s an article by Heather McDougall, published a year ago in the Guardian of the UK  that reminds us of all those pagan connections..

Easter is a pagan festival. If Easter isn’t really about Jesus, then what is it about? Today, we see a secular culture celebrating the spring equinox, whilst religious culture celebrates the resurrection. However, early Christianity made a pragmatic acceptance of ancient pagan practises, most of which we enjoy today at Easter. The general symbolic story of the death of the son (sun) on a cross (the constellation of the Southern Cross) and his rebirth, overcoming the powers of darkness, was a well worn story in the ancient world. There were plenty of parallel, rival resurrected saviours too.

The Sumerian goddess Inanna, or Ishtar, was hung naked on a stake, and was subsequently resurrected and ascended from the underworld. One of the oldest resurrection myths is Egyptian Horus. Born on 25 December, Horus and his damaged eye became symbols of life and rebirth. Mithras was born on what we now call Christmas day, and his followers celebrated the spring equinox. Even as late as the 4th century AD, the sol invictus, associated with Mithras, was the last great pagan cult the church had to overcome. Dionysus was a divine child, resurrected by his grandmother. Dionysus also brought his mum, Semele, back to life.

In an ironic twist, the Cybele cult flourished on today’s Vatican Hill. Cybele’s lover Attis, was born of a virgin, died and was reborn annually. This spring festival began as a day of blood on Black Friday, rising to a crescendo after three days, in rejoicing over the resurrection. There was violent conflict on Vatican Hill in the early days of Christianity between the Jesus worshippers and pagans who quarrelled over whose God was the true, and whose the imitation. What is interesting to note here is that in the ancient world, wherever you had popular resurrected god myths, Christianity found lots of converts. So, eventually Christianity came to an accommodation with the pagan Spring festival. Although we see no celebration of Easter in the New Testament, early church fathers celebrated it, and today many churches are offering “sunrise services” at Easter – an obvious pagan solar celebration. The date of Easter is not fixed, but instead is governed by the phases of the moon – how pagan is that?

All the fun things about Easter are pagan. Bunnies are a leftover from the pagan festival of Eostre, a great northern goddess whose symbol was a rabbit or hare. Exchange of eggs is an ancient custom, celebrated by many cultures. Hot cross buns are very ancient too. In the Old Testament we see the Israelites baking sweet buns for an idol, and religious leaders trying to put a stop to it. The early church clergy also tried to put a stop to sacred cakes being baked at Easter. In the end, in the face of defiant cake-baking pagan women, they gave up and blessed the cake instead.

Easter is essentially a pagan festival which is celebrated with cards, gifts and novelty Easter products, because it’s fun and the ancient symbolism still works. It’s always struck me that the power of nature and the longer days are often most felt in modern towns and cities, where we set off to work without putting on our car headlights and when our alarm clock goes off in the mornings, the streetlights outside are not still on because of the darkness.

What better way to celebrate, than to bite the head off the bunny goddess, go to a “sunrise service”, get yourself a sticky-footed fluffy chick and stick it on your TV, whilst helping yourself to a hefty slice of pagan simnel cake? Happy Easter everyone.

Smarter than the average bear

The title above is a line from the old Yogi Bear cartoon. I was reminded of it recently when I read an article in the local paper about a 15-year-old girl, who should be finishing her freshman year of high school. Instead, she about to launch her college career at MIT. Not bad for someone who’s still too young to drive.

Jennifer T. also was valedictorian at Suncoast High School, no easy feat, since it’s a magnet school that attracts the top students from around the county. If that wasn’t enough, she also has perfect SAT scores in math and physics. If she were to start at the University of Florida this fall, she would be placed as a second-semester sophomore because of the college credits she has already obtained.

She started kindergarten at age 4, skipped first grade, and by age 11, she was taking advanced placement calculus. Yet, she seems like a normal kid on the outside, interested the same things that interest kids her age. She says she’s happy, and not concerned about being younger than other high school seniors. She’s also athletic, and was co-captain of the swim team.

So what are we to make of such an unusual intelligence? Where does it come from? Certainly, genes play a role. Jennifer’s mother also skipped grades and graduated from college at a young age. She says she was not so happy about being younger and didn’t want her children to go through the same experience. But Jennifer says, “I feel like I fit in with the people around…I found my talent. It happens to be school work.”

But is it only genetics? Mozart composed a sonata when he was four, and said he ‘remembered’ composing and playing music. That of course suggests past life influences. It’s been suggested that Mozart was the reincarnation of Antonio Vivaldi, another composer. It’s also been suggested Michael Jackson was the reincarnation of Mozart. I’d go with Prince on that one…but who knows.

Would it be a good thing to know who you were in a past life? What if you were a mass murderer? Does it matter who Jennifer was in a past life? Maybe there are good reasons we don’t remember.

And, the synchronicity in this story. Jennifer lives in Jupiter, Florida. Astrologically, Jupiter is the benefic planet related to wisdom, intellect, and the pursuit of higher education as well as travel and abundance.
